A clever invention to send you there, maybe a helping hand from the outside, or perhaps a fist to the right jaw to make Wonderland comply. But nearly a month has passed, and you're still as stuck as you were the second somebody thrust a welcome pamphlet into your hands, and wished you good look. And now? Maybe you'll keep trying for that escape, or maybe it's time to unpack your suitcase. Maybe you even want to be here! One way or the other, let's see what you'll do, and hear what you have to say. II. Lies Hurt... but so does the truth You wake up on the morning of a new event. For its duration everyone is forced to be brutally honest with their thoughts. You have no choice, and nothing can be private. You're an open book about everything to everyone, absolutely everyone. Plain and simple, no half-truths, no convenient omissions, no twisting of words. Katherine has always had to be constantly looking over her shoulder because of her life on the run so now that she is getting away from all that and Klaus as well, she relaxes a little since she is getting a small taste of her freedom again while driving into the distance. However, it's all very short lived for her as she thinks back on how close she was to getting a breather from all the chaos only to have it ripped from her grasp. All this seemed beyond ridiculous but here she was as her words took quite a literal turn on her to be million of miles away from Mystic Falls and from Klaus but the latter she was not sure about.
She glances at her surroundings, taking everything in and debating her next move already. Katherine Pierce was nothing if not a survivor so first things first she had to make sure this was Klaus free zone, maybe pretend to be Elena to get the information she needs and check if anyone else she knows got dragged here too because while she was worried for her life, she knew she had to do whatever it takes to make sure that if Klaus was here, that he never gets close to her even if it means somehow finding a way to make a deal with the whoever brought her to this place]

The fact that he assumes she is Elena once he spots her, only from behind, is a fact that keeps her in the clear. For now. As it is, he hasn't given Katherine - Katerina - much of a passing thought since leaving Mystic Falls, which only adds to his confidence that it's Elena he approaches, a faint smirk on his lips.
Elena's been entirely too cheerful for his tastes, and though he's not in the market to torture or maim her, that doesn't mean he won't give her a hard time. ]
I see you're out and about. Where is the elder Salvatore? Here I thought you would be permanently attached to his side.

This wasn't fair and it's so not how it was supposed to go at all for her when leaving town yet here she was just inches away from his grasp if he manages to recognize her. Katherine carefully turns to face him without drawing too much attention to her surprise from seeing him here or how nervous she felt just being in his presence as she masks it by slightly frowning at him and seeing that stupid smirk on his face. From what he just said, she was able to pick up a few things such as the fact he automatically thinks she is Elena and that Damon was here as well. Either way for now it seemed like she was in the clear but while she was unaware of why Elena would be permanently attached to Damon and not Stefan, she goes along with it and hopes that he buys it] Well as you can see, I'm clearly not right now. Why do you want to know anyway?

[ His tone is light, deceptively so. He knows, and she knows, that he's clearly there to give her a hard time. Making her uncomfortable is just a bonus. ]
Seems your jovial mood from your arrival has finally passed. [ Even if it might be in the face of his appearance just now. If that were the case, then he would just chalk it up as another point in his favor in whatever invisible war is going on between him and everyone else in the world. ] Chipper never really suited you.

[ The familiar voice probably does nothing to soothe her nerves, at least not like hearing Stefan's would. The elder Salvatore raises an eyebrow before offering her a slight smile that causes to corners of his eyes to crinkle - fond, obviously.
He steps closer, still leaving her a personal space bubble - something he isn't usually keen on doing, but since her odd behaviour since arriving and not wanting to leave. Damon can't help but be skeptical of her - sure, it's a dream come true that she's so happy to be around him... constantly. And the fact that she's been acting like she's addicted to his company? It's always something that he won't say no to. But it's still odd, he's not used to it. She went from hating him for killing her brother to showing up and telling him she was over it...
She'd said that she and Stefan weren't a thing anymore and that all but broke his brain, of course he couldn't complain. Surprisingly, he wasn't the one to start the flirting fest; Elena started flirting with him almost immediately, so what if he continues it. She's a free woman, she can flirt with whoever the hell she wants to... As long as their name is Damon Salvatore. ]
I thought you and Caroline were having a [ Cue a very stereotypical gay accent ] girls night; no boys allowed.

She notices that he steps closer while still leaving her some space but she doesn't object to it in the least. She figures that might give herself away but for now she just seeing how far she can take this. The information about Caroline here was useful too since it gives her a bit of a heads up of who else is around] Well that's still the plan, I was just on my way to meet up with her.
