First and foremost, Armin is a soldier. So he gets along well with military types or figures of authority. He can be a little stiff with people he's just met because he's used to yes sir, no sir, three bags full sir, etc. His self esteem is also not great, so he can be defensive as a sort of cautionary measure.
But once you can dig underneath all that, Armin is a perpetually inquisitive, surprisingly kind-hearted boy. More than anything he loves to learn learn learn and can often be found with his nose buried in a book. He's extremely intelligent and catches onto new concepts very quickly. They excite his curiosity and he always wants to know more. He's also good for intelligent conversation!
Unfortunately Armin is burdened by having come from a very traumatic world. If you'd like to know more about it, feel free to read the first bit of my app. He's yet to get used to the idea of not living in fear of Titans, and has developed insomnia since arriving at the Mansion. He doesn't particularly like it here (aside from having all the books he could ever read) because it's just another cage he's forced to live in. His greatest wish is to someday explore the "outside world," and he can't do that here either.
Seeking: A character like Armin is open to almost anything. He'd be good friends with anyone else who has intellectual pursuits, or understands the life of a soldier. However he has a VERY strong moral code and won't put up with any evil business.
