So we're absolutely stuck in this crazy fantasy vacation. Being kidnapped sucks big time.
Is there anyone out there who can give me a leg up? I just want to know what's going on.

Max still feels nervous everyday in Wonderland, at random moments when she remembers they've been kidnapped- she's still too new to the place to think of it any other way. It feels odd to look out at the beautifully sparkling ocean, in the hour after dawn when the light is soft and the air is still or filled with a gentle breeze, and have the prickling sensation of fear work its way up her legs, her arms, her neck. This is not the kind of place she'd ever see in her lifetime, maybe, unless she really made it big as a photographer and traveled far. But here she was, eighteen, living in what is perhaps the most beautiful kidnapping she's ever heard of.
She's tried to stay safe, avoiding the most imposing people living in the Mansion and staying inside as much as she can. But today is just too nice, too... soft. So for the first time since her arrival, she picks up her polaroid camera and heads out to the grounds, determined to at least take some good pictures of the outside while stuck here.
Still early in the morning she reaches the place where the hedge maze meets the forest. Gripping her camera a bit too tightly and walking back and forth between the two, she stares as though lost, trying to work up the nerve to go into one or the other. Once in a while she turns and takes a picture of someone passing nearby, trying to be discreet. The instant camera whirs and slides out a picture each time.
