Chloe Decker | Lucifer

[ THE MUSIC ROOM ]

[ Chloe had only been at the mansion for about a day, but she had explored as much of it as she possibly could. That meant bumping into a number of people and learning bits and pieces of what this place was about and the things that had occurred there - insane, unbelievable things. For as extraordinary as it all was, Chloe couldn't help but find her mind wandering to Trixie, hoping she was okay, hoping she wouldn't be gone long, hoping... that Maze had called Dan and wasn't trying to take on caring for Trixie all by herself.

Oh, please let Maze have called Dan.

The music room she had to begrudgingly admit was her favorite room so far. The gorgeous grand piano had caught her eye, of course, and flames licked the logs in the fireplace, giving the whole room an unearthly glow. She looked around, pulling open cabinet after cabinet to look at the instruments within before she finally rounded back to the piano. Chloe bit her bottom lip thoughtfully, running a finger over the wood before she sat down on the bench. Hesitantly she lifted a finger, dropping it onto one of the keys and the low note rumbled across the room. She paused, waiting to see if she had disturbed anyone with a look around the room, before she hit the next key with her finger, slowly and inelegantly beginning to bang through the notes of Heart and Soul. ]

[ NETWORK // VIDEO ]

[ It's pretty obvious, immediately, how uncomfortable the network makes Chloe. Her appearance on it is rare; she isn't a huge fan of being the center of attention. That was part of why acting never worked out for her. She didn't take after her mother in most aspects, especially that one. ]

Uh.

[ Maybe she should have thought this through better. Written a script or something. She often found herself jealous over how easy it always seemed for Lucifer, how effortlessly charismatic he always was. Annoying, too, but at least he didn't just turn on a video and manage to look like an idiot in front of God knows how many people. ]

My name's, uh, Chloe. I've been here for a little while and I'm actually just kind of wondering if there is anything to... do here. Like. A job. I'd like to have a job.

[ Oh dear God that was terrible. Time to bow out gracefully. Is there a way to do that gracefully? Too late for grace. This is why she never had friends, wasn't it? ]

Thanks for your... time.
