When he steps towards her, showing concern, even affection, Regina doesn't initially know how to react. He's maintained a cautious distance before, untrusting of her intentions. And then he calls her 'mom'. Her expression flinches, that cold front shifting for just a moment in her confusion. Of all the horrible things she wanted to do to people in Storybrooke, she still loved her son, in some twisted way, but she knew she had a long way to go before he accepted her for who she truly was. This version of her, her best self.
"I.. was in Storybrooke," she answers, shaking her head slightly to clear those cluttering emotions. "One moment I was there, the next I was here. Wherever here is exactly." She frowns disapprovingly, looking around the place. Even a mansion such as this can fail to impress the Evil Queen.
"Who did this?" she demands then, looking to Henry, wondering if this is something perhaps beyond both of them. "Is this your other mother's attempt to get rid of me for good? By trapping me here?"
