[The sweetest, most cautious boy. Unfortunately, Taako is the polar opposite of those Boy traits, paying attention to only things that interest him and blowing up most else. Thankfully, he purses his lips a bit, actually deciding to focus on who's speaking to him, and... oh, right.]

Angus? You're here? Did the Director decide we weren't getting out fast enough and she sent you? I dunno what she thought you were gonna do, all things considered...

[Like, look, he can cast something, but jfc sending the boy into Wonderland? Lucretia, that's cold. Regardless, he's getting out of the cabinet now.]

[ the next time taako sees angus, he's ASTONISHINGLY close and his big eyes are wet with worry. he seems to almost ignore everything else taako says.

and he's coming in for a big ol' hug for his favorite wizard tutor. those tears are gonna get allll over them fancy robes. ]

[Oh jeez oh god he's getting hugged. Taako's holding his arms upwards, a little strained as Angus wraps himself around his midsection, and after a few tense seconds resolves to just... gently pat him on the head. Yes. Affection. This is how you do that.]

Are you? You seem like a wreck.

[Tact, thy name is Taako. But honestly how did this boy get here Lucretia did you send a child in here to save him and if so he has Opinions on that.]

How did you even get here?

[ angus pulls back and tries to cover up a snot bubble with a swipe of his wrist. he sucks all that snot in and looks around them suspiciously before trying to lead taako out of the kitchen. ]

Well [ sniffle ] obviously the uhh [ sniffle ] the same way you did.

[It takes everything in him not to hold Angus at arm's length to avoid any and all crying and snot, but the kid seems to get it together... ish, so.]

Alright, well then you can fill me in, 'cause I know nothing, my guy.

[He squints a moment at Angus' body language, before shrugging and making for the door. Kid's probably got a plan, and in the absence of his normal squad, he doesn't have the luxury of being picky with his comrades.]

Come on, stop... doing all that, we're probably not gonna die.

[Maybe. But he'll make his way to the door, let Angus take the lead on whatever the heck he's got planned.]
