[ fancy that. peggy does mind the question, to a degree, but understands that some lies are moot in a world were a handful of people seem to know her life's story better than she does. still, it's only fair that she fudge a few details. ]

Funnily enough? I was -- am still, I think -- a federal agent. Working, most recently, out of Los Angeles.

Really? [ There's some relief in her voice - maybe she's found a kindred spirit. LA isn't exactly obscure, but people came from all kinds of places here and there is still a relief in meeting someone from Chloe's hometown, even if Peggy's residence was temporary. ]

That's great. My partner from home is here, too. We can start a club. [ She offers a more genuine smile to Peggy now, feeling more relaxed now that they have something in common. ] Must have been a big case to bring you all the way out to LA. Are you FBI?
