Well you're no fun.

[wynonna has probably frolicked in public before at some point in her life.

but sure, she'll try to pretend to be a real adult for five minutes. maybe even ten. even though it's really hard when he calls her darlin' like that. it does something to her, okay?

also she's going to ignore the word couple because she doesn't have it in her to have a define the relationship talk right now.]

We should probably work on finding rooms of our own then.

doc holds the door open for her, swooping down to retrieve his hat once he's past the threshold. he dusts off the brim and places it back on his head. ]

Floor preference? [ he doesn't care. pick a floor, any floor. ]

[wynonna shrugs her shoulders a little. she doesn't know that much about this place just yet.]

Maybe this floor? Four seems as good as anywhere.

We should probably select rooms with window views. Much easier to shoot through glass than walls.

And we'll probably need to do that sooner or later. Do we want them right next to one another, or across the hall...? [She doesn't want to crowd him too much or anything but at the same time he's right, keeping close to one another is a smart strategic plan.

No, there's not usually time for logic then, just quick thinking. Luckily, you're good at that too. We both are.

[for a guy that many would write off as a scoundrel or bad guy doc can be surprisingly gentle at times. it's something wynonna isn't really used to, she hasn't had a lot of gentleness in her life.

she nudges his shoulder gently.]

[ he stumbles for dramatic show when she shoves him, having the audacity to look offended for the briefest of seconds — all for show, all to just mess with her. doc's not quite sure what she means, however, so he brings her hand back up to his lips to press another kiss to the back of it. ]

No. Not that. [though that's also quite distracting in it's own right. he's just one big distraction to her and it's frustrating.

[She makes it all seem so utterly simple, and the thing is? That in spite of all Rip knows to be true of Wonderland, of the prison that now somehow, impossibly houses them both, part of him still believes her. Gideon has long been a source of strength and comfort for him, the steady voice he could always come back to even in his darkest hours.

She had been the only one to stand by him when Savage murdered his family. The Time Masters refused to offer aide—but Gideon, who could have stopped him, who could have followed protocol and programming both, instead allowed Rip to steal the Waverider away.

I can only assume that's the reason why you're suddenly—as you are.

[ look, he was a talented dental surgeon, once upon a time. bright, young, and promising. he could've made a rich career out of it, had he not fallen ill with the same disease that took his mother and brother. ]

I went to university, I'll have you know. A fine institution in Philadelphia. I studied and worked hard for years, graduating so fast that I had to wait to obtain my license because the board deemed me "too young" to practice. I was good at what I did, Wynonna. Even if I was unable to keep doing it.
