[ Jill is careful not to scrutinize too much, although she makes no effort to hide that she sized the other woman up, however briefly. It's a reflexive thing for her and likely not uncommon to the people here, whether new themselves or meeting someone new. It's hard not to be on your toes when you're swept away to some alternate universe. The rest of the way she moves is fluid and with ease, lacking the nervousness some others may hold when meeting others. ]

Ha, well, you're in good company if not one that might have a touch of morning crankiness. You'll have to excuse my tone if it's still got a little sleep in it. [ She knows very well she can be too direct or harsh at times and it can unnerve people, but it's not a bad skill to have. She wipes a hand over her cheek up toward her forehead, pressing hard like she rolled out of bed into the shop. ] If you're looking for information, I'm afraid I've not much to share but if you describe someone you might be looking for I can keep an eye out.

[ She only suspects that's the case because she was going to hit up people for the same reasons. The only thing is, despite looking for a few people in particular, in this sort of... situation, it could be someone you don't think of that might show up. In time, hopefully they'd find her if that was the case.

Though not sloppy, she tries to be more casual after the way her tone might have had a sharp bite to it, only one elbow on the table as she leans into a curved hand, knuckles to her chin. There's something about this woman that probably draws others to her, not just those she approaches. It's not unpleasant.

Don't let my demeanor fool you, I'm just good with maps and coffee-motivated. [ No waiters here, probably, but she could hold off a little longer. Caffeine hit her like a truck head-on and there weren't a stack of papers for her to look over, just exploration to be had. ] Nice to have a day off, even if it's not by choice. Normally I'd say something like "stick with me if you're worried," but I get the feeling you can more than take care of yourself. Though if you're looking for someone to stick with for a while, my plans for the day are pretty informal. A lot to explore, it seems.

[ Though that reminds her that she'd like to see about picking up a survival knife. Strictly for personal protection and peace of mind, of course. ]
