[Georgia's spent way too much time with Rocket not to recognize the tiny tree on sight. Or maybe the way he immediately says "I am Groot" gives away that this is, indeed, Groot.]

Ah. You must be Groot.

[Her investigative skills are without parallel. She crouches, tugging off her sunglasses to get a better look at him.]

Rocket's told me about you.

[oakay]

[A friend of Rocket? Groot tilts his head to the side and tries to see if he can remember that face? Nope, doesn't ring a bell, this must be a new friend. That was always strange. Since when did Rocket make so many friends?

At least she can lead him to Rocket, which is definitely the person he needs the most right now.] I am Groot.

[choosetruth]

[.....oh boy, this is going to be fun. Rocket's informed her of how Groot speaks, but he didn't exactly give her a dictionary.]

...I don't understand. Can you mime or something?

[oakay]

I am Groot!

[Nod. Nod.

Groot decides to mime Rocket. He puts on some swagger, makes some angry noises, bears his teeth and stomps around. It's a flawless impression that surely everyone will get. He gestures at his stomach and pretends to rub it. It means fluffy. Rocket is fluffy. You can't rub Rocket's tummy, he will murder you but any other tiny fluffy thing, you usually can.]

[Luckily, Georgia has enough context that she's pretty sure he's asking for Rocket. Mostly because that's... what he'd probably be doing right now.

Either that or he's worried something will eat him. Well, she can ask.]

Are you... looking for Rocket?

[oakay]

[He points out her, bouncing a little and nodding his head. He likes the smart peoples, they are the peoples to stick with. He moves in close to her and holds up his hands. A ride, he needs a ride to Rocket - please and thank you.]

I am Groot?

[And now the tiny tree wants a ride. Great. Well, he's too small and too not a mammal to turn into a zombie, even if that were as much of a worry here as it is at home. She gingerly picks up the little tree, cupping him in her hands.]

Sometimes he hangs out in the maze making bomb obstacle courses for himself, so if he's not here, that's my best bet. Especially if he's not picking up his phone.

[oakay]

[Don't be shy, new friend. Don't be so nervous either. Groot will show you how to handle a Groot. His vines slowly trickle out and wrap around her thumbs as if to say he appreciates it, he's holding on and he doesn't wanna be put down. He's happy right now.

Please do not drop him!] I am Groot! [Bomb obstacle courses? Sounds fun!]

[She's beginning to get the hang of this, she thinks. She has no idea what he's saying, but the emotions are pretty clear. As a writer, it's a challenge, since she's used to having access to the entire breadth of the English language to make her points. Groot has three words. But he's pretty expressive anyway.]

I'm sure he'll be very happy to see you. He talks about you a lot.

[oakay]

I am Groot? [He does? Is it all bad? It's probably all bad. He's probably whining about how much he curses and that one time he ate all of his fries when he went to go get ketchup but who the hell leaves fries unattended?

Seriously. That one was on Rocket.] I am Groot.

You and Peter Quill and Drax and Gamora. [She has no idea what his I am Groots are referring to now, but she's gonna go ahead and guess it's probably asking more about what she was saying. He does sound inquisitive.] Though... not much about Gamora, actually.

[She's not going to say she has the impression that Rocket's scared of Gamora but maybe he does just a little.]
