[ She has some eccentricities herself. ]
Mostly of the forensic science variety, working with lots of computers. Cracking codes, solving riddles, putting together totally vague clues and saving the world. Sometimes.
[ She may not have a medical science background, but she'd definitely try to do whatever she could to help someone. ]

You must miss the work. But I guess Wonderland is a giant mystery just waiting to be solved. [ Harry's not a fan of puzzles. Or secrets. He'd been kept in the dark his entire life, and now that he knows the truth, it's only serving to destroy him. ]

[ Of course, if she knew anything about what he'd been through, or how his father had treated him, she'd probably have some protective instincts kicking into high gear. ]
I do. A lot. I feel lost without my lab, but uh - I'm trying to find ways to fill the void. It probably sounds super strange, but I thought at the very least we could all try to have a little...fun. Movie nights once a month or something. It's not much, but anything kind of close to normal could be good.

What kind of movies do you like?

[ Patterson honestly can't remember the last time she had an actual meal, either. It's mostly been powering through her days thanks to spoonfuls of peanut butter and gogurt. It'd be good to do something more...normal. ]
Think of a movie a "geek" might watch and I love it. Star Wars, Star Trek, Lord of the Rings. So, fantasy, science fiction. I like good action movies, too, and I have a special fondness for some of the really old classics.
You?

But I like all kinds of movies. It all depends on my mood. [ He likes a good action movie. Like Die Hard. Or those war movies. Sometimes Harry would be in a total horror movie kick. Sometimes he'd be up for watching a good murder mystery. There was that time he was dating a French supermodel and watched nothing but French films. ] But I'm not too big a fan of those superhero movies. I mean, New York has a spider guy. He swings around in a red suit saving kittens from trees.
What's Lord of the Rings? [ He might have spent a good few years in boarding school and one would think he'd be familiar with it, but most of his free time was spent partying. Even after graduation, he partied hard; never mixing with the right crowds. Certainly no one who would have read Tolkien or bothered to watch a movie about some ring. ]

Okay, silent films are uncharted territory for me so you'll have to guide me, Obi-Wan. [ She's a geek, she can't help throwing in a nerdy reference. ]
A spider guy, huh? So you've got your own sort of superhero running around New York? [ That...sounds familiar now. Spider-Man? Now she's really curious. ]
Oh, it's about a Hobbit named Frodo. Hobbits are just an imaginary race, kind of human-like. Anyway, Frodo inherits the One Ring and has to makes this really, really hard, scary, dangerous journey to Mordor to destroy it. Future of civilization rests in his hands, you know the drill. Typical hero fantasy, but it's really cool.

[ The one ring thing now seems a little familiar. ] Is the Hobbit movie based on this really chunky book? I think I've seen that at the library before. I should probably watch the movie. It sounds interesting.
[ He's not sure what or who Spider-Man is. After all, he'd only returned to New York for a couple of days before finding himself in Wonderland. ] I guess it depends on who you ask. Some people might think of him as a superhero. Some might think he's a menace. Personally, I think he's taking the law into his own hands and that can be dangerous.

Plus, the idea of doing that together - her and this awesome mystery person - just seems really great. ]
It is. And the books are the better place to start with when it comes to most adaptations, but with this series, you can't go wrong either way. At least in my opinion.
Oh, the vigilante thing, yeah it's a slippery slope. You think it's safer for everyone if he stays out of it? [ Patterson doesn't think this person is wrong at all. She's more curious about their perspective than anything else. ]

The last book I read was the Art of War. [ He'd picked it up after being appointed as Oscorp's new CEO. He figured it might come in handy. ] I guess it wouldn't hurt to read a good novel.
[ Harry really can't be bothered with Spider-Man, but he does think the world would be better off without some costumed superhero running around the city making things worse. ] I think it's going to encourage people to think that they can do whatever they want and that can be bad. There are plenty of other ways to make the world a safer place. I like to put my faith in science. And in building new technology. Not in some vigilante. [ Back home, he's already involved himself in military research; working to build a self-healing armor for soldiers at war. He'd like to think that Norman would be proud. ]
