So what got you into SHIELD?

Well, I was seventeen and was fresh out of school with a degree in each hand. I probably could have written my ticket to any research university in the world or whatever else I wanted to do. And that would have been fine, very prestigious... but I wanted more. Nobody was really studying what I wanted to study, or answering the questions I was interested in. I was... semi-recruited? I met Agent Weaver at a conference where I didn't really know anybody, and we got to talking... that fall I was at the Academy.

Recruited. That scans, yeah. They'd want someone with your talent.

Fitz was also a recruit, though I didn't meet him then. We met at the Academy.

It's all been an experience, that's for sure. A decade plus later and I still have more questions than answers.
