I. Welcome to Wonderland! Seconds ago you were surrounded by the things you know, but now you may find yourself standing on a strange beach. And you may find yourself in another part of another world. And you may find yourself within the shadow of a large mansion. And you may find yourself in a beautiful room, with a completely useless introductory brochure. And you may ask yourself: Well... how did I get here? II. Lose yourself to find yourself It's another day in Wonderland, and another event has come around. For its duration everyone has been turned into a stereotypical ghost. Disembodiment, translucency, and all it entails! Have fun moving through objects and walls, because actually touching a door (or interacting with any other physical objects for that matter)? Not going to happen. III. Mirror, Mirror, On The March Aren't you excited? Aren't you thrilled? The Queen of Hearts has chosen you amongst a mere handful, and sent you off to the other side. Whether you infiltrate quietly, or barge in boldly is entirely up to you. Her Majesty has faith in your skill, she knows you will retrieve her treasured Shield from that bothersome Red Queen and her hideous Reals. You will, won't you? You really mustn't disappoint your Queen, or else... OR ELSE. IV. Wildcard Play out your character's arrival. Celebrate their anniversary. Choose a different event to experience. That's pretty crazy, Sam. [Their lives do kind of win most Crazy Life contests back home. Ash considers.] So, what, did we fall down the rabbit hole? Are we gonna lose our heads if we stay here?

[Valid questions, Ash thinks. He's a little fuzzy on the original stories but he definitely remembers the Queen of Hearts trying to take off everyone's head.]

I thought I was fishing too far into Heaven, but this is ridiculous.

[Ash squeezes her back. She's pretty much the little sister he'd never had, and she was in his top five people to look for. Near the top. Maybe she is the top, come to that. He's found a lot of strange Heavens looking for hers. Unlike a certain duo, he hasn't been able to rely on Angel Radio for Jo's location.]

Well, I'm here. And you're gonna have to try real hard to get rid of me.

[There's just one thing. He should be having to explain himself. She should be confused about him being here, like every other Heaven he goes into. And this place is just—]

Where are we, anyhow?

[He sighs a bit, mostly because the whole situation is entirely depressing. Though, it feels odd to be the one explaining something to a professor. Since he's been in Wonderland a long time, he's used to giving these speeches, but it's strange to know more about something than McGonagall does. He can't decide whether it's a good sort of strange or not.]

From what we've gathered in this place, whenever someone goes back home they go back to exactly whenever they were without any memory of it. So...if I haven't said anything and I wasn't missing, that would mean that at some point between now and whenever you're from, I'll make it back without any knowledge of this place. Even I won't realize I've been gone.

[None of this is good news, aside from making it home. He wants to remember it all and change things.]

Of course, the obvious problem there is that no one has any idea we're missing. Not the greatest news, I know.

Ah, that. [ He bites his lip, unsure how to breach the topic, but he supposes now he must. ] You see, Wonderland-- this place-- it has a strange sort of magic that takes people from different times as well as different worlds.

What I mean to say is, I believe you may have met a version of me from my own personal future. An.. adult me.

Safe as I'll ever be, Professor. [ She gives a little half smile and shrugs some. It's bittersweet to have Professor McGonagall here, but it's mostly comforting. It's good to know there's someone that she trusts and respects so much around. And of course having an adult authority figure around puts her at ease. ]

I found that pamphlet to be a load of rubbish, to be quite honest. I mean, I suppose it explains the basics, but it's not really helpful, if you think about it. Whoever wrote it was rather cheeky, too...

[ Tiny sigh. ] I'm just trying to wrap my head around everything. Wonderland, honestly. Of all the places! Its main defining point is defying logic! And it's doing a very good job of it!

[ Okay, okay. Time to not have a minor breakdown here. ]

I--I'm sorry, Professor. I'm...a little overwhelmed by it all. But I'm glad you're here.

[ Hermione blinks rapidly. She wasn't expecting anything more than him laughing it off, maybe, if even that. ]

That's. Well. [ She opens and closes her mouth a few times. ] I guess I should get used to strange occurrences, especially with the level of magic here.

[ Slight pause. ]

If I knew who you were, I could confirm or deny your suspicions, of course.

Oh, he better not be. Once was more than enough. [ Even if family karaoke was pretty excellent. Still, not exactly the most important thing going on here. Because really, where is her brother? He's okay, right? ]

But that's besides the point. If you didn't do your weird magic biz, then what the heck is even going on?

Aside from the expected amount of confusion, how are you feeling Margot?

[ He gives her time to process that he's twelve and not how old he's supposed to be, because yeah, wow, if it's a little weird to see her older, it's got to be completely confusing for her. Especially since she's new and doesn't know how this place works.

Not that Harry knows how this place works, either, but that's besides the point. ]

Probably not the same thing you do. Me and Ron were about to crash his dad's car.

[ He still feels massively bad about it, too. ]

That...doesn't make any sense. None of that made any sense. If reality's an illusion, then what's the point of anything? And if time didn't exist, wouldn't we all just be stuck, frozen in space forever until we're nothing but a distant memory?

( The voice comes across the device without Luna's face attached, flowing out in her mystical tone. She'd managed to turn the device on but she isn't entirely sure what all of the functions do on it. At least she's fairly sure this is Hermione, unless someone has her under the Imperius Curse which would be a very disastrous thing )

There have been a lot of strange things that have been happening lately.

( And it wasn't Nargles. Or Crumple-Horned Snorkacks. Those other things were You Know Who and his followers. Although Luna doesn't know if she wants to say this was him too. Does he have a mansion? )

Everything we do is crazy. [ And Ash knows that just as well as he does. ] Uh-- No, I mean, I don't think that's happened so far. We do have the Jabberwocky to worry about, but--

[ Her silence is so long and she's gone so still, it almost seems like the video's frozen. ]

[ Hermione ponders that for a while, nearly forgetting she has a guest. What an interesting library this is!

Oh right, questions. She lowers her book slightly. ]

Oh, I, well. I only just recently arrived. Bit overwhelming, isn't it?

[ Hermione briefly makes a face. She knows that voice anywhere. Despite herself, she fights a smile. ]

Too right, Luna. Bit of a mess we're in, isn't it?

[ At that, she waits. She's fully expecting Luna to come up with some preposterous magical creature to explain their situation. Any moment now. ]

[ Despite the tone of the conversation, Ash is practically smirking with amusement. He can roll with the punches. Maybe he wouldn't have as easily a few years ago, but a lot changes after you explore Heaven. There's some crazy shit there. Sam knows what he means.

Also some people choose really messed up memories to get 'stuck' in. Why can't people just choose a bar and chill out? Or something nice? ]

She squints hard at the screen. As the seconds tick by, her eyes gradually widen. She can see some of the features she's used to seeing, just in a younger form.
