I. Welcome to Wonderland! Seconds ago you were surrounded by the things you know, but now you may find yourself standing on a strange beach. And you may find yourself in another part of another world. And you may find yourself within the shadow of a large mansion. And you may find yourself in a beautiful room, with a completely useless introductory brochure. And you may ask yourself: Well... how did I get here? II. Lose yourself to find yourself It's another day in Wonderland, and another event has come around. For its duration everyone has been turned into a stereotypical ghost. Disembodiment, translucency, and all it entails! Have fun moving through objects and walls, because actually touching a door (or interacting with any other physical objects for that matter)? Not going to happen. III. Mirror, Mirror, On The March Aren't you excited? Aren't you thrilled? The Queen of Hearts has chosen you amongst a mere handful, and sent you off to the other side. Whether you infiltrate quietly, or barge in boldly is entirely up to you. Her Majesty has faith in your skill, she knows you will retrieve her treasured Shield from that bothersome Red Queen and her hideous Reals. You will, won't you? You really mustn't disappoint your Queen, or else... OR ELSE. IV. Wildcard Play out your character's arrival. Celebrate their anniversary. Choose a different event to experience. Do anything and everything you like! |
Ash ↴ Supernatural
Nevermind the fact that he hadn't been trying to go anywhere specific and had, in essence, been trying to cheat the system, sort of like a metaphysical version of wallhacking. There are Heavens he's still trying very hard to find, and he'd been attempting to cut to the chase. But this... really doesn't fit any of them. Not unless someone had had a Song of the South fetish that they'd been trying really hard to bury.
He's out of chalk, as he gets to his feet, and he can't even see the damn door he'd come out of, but at least the Holy Hitting Squad hasn't found him. They're probably getting sick of him running around, but damned if they can't catch him. Maybe nobody with enough juice is paying attention, but Ash will take it. This, though? The mansion, and the grounds he's standing on? He's not really sure about this.]
Aw, hell. Please tell me this isn't some kinda southern Civil War gig. Wasn't on my bucket list to sip a mint julep with Stonewall Jackson...
YOOOOOO
Ash?
HELLO
And some of them are pretty rude.]
Sam?
[This isn't right. This can't be Sam's Heaven. Why would Sam's heaven have a giant mansion? ...although he knows from experience — experiences chasing down dead Winchesters — that the dogs are accurate.]
Hey. Uh. What's up?
[Help.]
no subject
Damn, man, it's good to see you! [ BRO HUG, INCOMING... ! ] Are you-- I mean, did you come from...?
[ You know, that place? Where things are terrible? ]
no subject
Heaven? Yeah.
[His face clearly says where else would I be from?]
You didn't sneak past angel radio or somethin', did you?
no subject
[ He shrugs. ]
As real as the rest of our crazy lives, I mean.
no subject
[Valid questions, Ash thinks. He's a little fuzzy on the original stories but he definitely remembers the Queen of Hearts trying to take off everyone's head.]
I thought I was fishing too far into Heaven, but this is ridiculous.
no subject
[ urk ]
... Anyway. Yeah, this is pretty much the home of everything ridiculous.
no subject
[ Despite the tone of the conversation, Ash is practically smirking with amusement. He can roll with the punches. Maybe he wouldn't have as easily a few years ago, but a lot changes after you explore Heaven. There's some crazy shit there. Sam knows what he means.
Also some people choose really messed up memories to get 'stuck' in. Why can't people just choose a bar and chill out? Or something nice? ]
Don't tell me. Dean's here, too?
no subject
[ Which is... the real surprise, considering their lives. ]
You got it. And Jo. Ellen was here, but she's not... right now, away.
BRUH
Oh my god, Ash.
:D
Jo!
[Has he finally done it? Has attempting to cheat the system really worked and he's finally found where the youngest Harvelle's Heaven is? But Ash isn't going to question it too much, just yet, and grins in her direction. If this worked in any way, it was worth the potential cost (namely, getting lost in goddamn Heaven) in spades.]
You are a sight for sore eyes, lemme tell you.
no subject
She grins right back at him, having halted to a stop just long enough to get a good look at him before she lunges herself forward, throwing her arms around his middle.
Four years is way, way too long.]
I could say the same about you! Here I was thinking I was never gonna get the chance to see you again.
[Sometimes it's nice to be proven wrong.]
no subject
Well, I'm here. And you're gonna have to try real hard to get rid of me.
[There's just one thing. He should be having to explain himself. She should be confused about him being here, like every other Heaven he goes into. And this place is just—]
Where are we, anyhow?
no subject
[It's also not a promise she knows he can make, but they're not getting into that now. There's no reason to detract from how happy she is to see him, and she gives him another tight squeeze before she lets go, enough that they can converse, although she doesn't go far, one arm still slung loosely around his shoulders. Much like she's the little sister he never had, Ash had been the one to make her feel like she wasn't an only child after all. Closest thing she'd ever had to a brother until this place.]
You might need a beer or two in you in order to believe me, but I guess if anyone was gonna take this kind of thing on faith, it'd be you. You've looked into alternate dimensions, right?
[She knows he's looked into all kinds of things most hunters never bothered with.]
no subject
[Crowley eyes the man with a somewhat judging look, but that might just be Crowley's face. This man doesn't look like much to Crowley, but Wonderland had taught him to not underestimate anyone and, really, that had been something he'd kept in mind even before he came here. ]
On a scale of one to ten, how many drugs have you done?
no subject
But hey, if this is his Heaven, he can hang. At least until he can get his bearings and find something else to write with and get the hell out of here.]
Winners don't do drugs, my friend.
[There's a funny little curve of his lips, right at the corner, that says exactly how much he's joking. He doesn't tend to grin with his whole face.]
no subject
[ Crowley smirks. For some reason, explaining this place to people has actually started to entertain him. ]
You're in Wonderland. Like the books.
no subject
Christ, he hopes Wonderland isn't real.]
Seriously? [Pause.] Not quite as, uh, psychedelic as I'd pictured.
[Why not. Ash can play along, until he figures out just what's going on.]
