I. Second Time's The Charm This... this looks awfully familiar, and... familiar in an awful way. Look around all you like, it won't change, it won't go away. You are in Wonderland. No, worse: You're back in Wonderland. Just when everything was nice and comfortable at home, or-- or wasn't it? Maybe you're happy to be here again. Hey, no judgement, free room and board is nothing to scoff at! Blessing or curse, that's really up to you; all you know for sure is that, apparently, you're here to stay. II. What will you children do next? It's time for another wonderful event in Wonderland! For its duration characters will suddenly find themselves ten years older or younger. This can be physically, mentally, or both, i.e., if your character is 20 years old right now, they may become 10 physically but still have the mind and memories of their 20-year-old self, or they may revert to the mentality of their 10-year-old self and lose all the memories they have of being older. Characters over 200 years old may even age by a century, as a decade isn't that long for them. III. Through The Looking-Glass What an extraordinary day! All of Wonderland's mirrors-- just the things, not the capital Mirrors, not the ones like you --are suddenly shattered! Shards on the floor as far as the eye can see, and empty frames that are just begging to be stepped through! Oh, but you should really stay on your side unless the Queen of Hearts orders it otherwise. Or should you? Who's to say she wouldn't want you to investigate? Go ahead, go on, explore the real side for a change! Or... stay put right where you are, and see who comes to visit. It's really up to you. IV. Wildcard Play out your character's arrival. Celebrate their anniversary. Choose a different event to experience. Do anything and everything you like! |

[...a dream.]
[Maybe...all that had been a dream. Or this was a dream. There had certainly been a lot of dreaming going on lately. Maybe if he--]
Ow!
[--nope, he definitely felt that pinch. Not a dream.]
Okay, so far. I think. I mean, aside from the fact that I haven't been able to get ahold of Caitlin or Barry or a halfway decent wifi signal around here...
[His eyes remained focused on the man before him. Trying so hard not to think of one dream in particular. Because it had to have been a dream...right?]
What about you?
I mean, this place doesn't seem too wheelchair accessible.
no subject
I haven't been able to get hold or locate them either. If they're here, let's hope we run into them soon or vice versa. [Though as far as Barry goes he could easily run through this building within seconds, so he's not too hopeful (bothersome as it is.)] I've been managing okay so far, but if there's something preventing me from moving around then...well, I'll deal with that as I go.
[Almost a shame he can't just magically claim his disability is healed. He could, but Cisco is too smart to believe something like that.]
Why were you looking into that closet? Something inside of interest?
no subject
[That said, he crossed the room towards Wells, holding out the singular piece of technology he'd managed to acquire thus far.]
I did find this. Some sort of radio, only with visual and audio features. Signal's pretty weak so far, but I'm working on it.
no subject
[He says with a flex of his fingers as Cisco comes closer and shows him the tech. Hm.]
So it's a communicator. [He takes it out of Cisco's hands with one hand and removes to his glasses with the other, taking a closer look at it.] Doesn't seem much different a small tablet. Boosting the signal sounds like a good idea, although...that depends if it's even connected to a network we can use to reach Barry and Caitlin. Or even the proper authorities.
no subject
Not what I meant. Though remind me to get back to that in a second.
I meant this.
[He turned back towards the closet and made a show of closing the door. Keeping one hand on the handle as he closed his eyes and mouthed something incoherent. A moment later, he opened both his eyes and the closet door once more, to reveal...]
[A certain manilla envelope. The contents of which would be only known to him until penalty of death. No, really.]
Sweet! [He picked it up and turned back to Wells, grinning madly.] I'm thinking either some sort of telepathic subatomic particle rearranger...or else there's a trapdoor in here I haven't found yet.
Thoughts?
no subject
So you pulled that envelope out of there, but it wasn't there before? Fascinating...it could be related to quantum physics. The concept that something can be moved from one space to another, maybe even being pulled out of that previous space. It existed somewhere and now it doesn't exist there anymore, it's here, and the closet acts a gateway.
[He hums and drums his fingers on an armchair. If it's not that, it might be something meta-related. At worst, it's magically inclined and he can't work with that. Mainly because he'd first have to explain to Cisco that magic is actually real, no science attached to it.]
That envelope - we should open it and see what's inside, or if whatever is in there is still intact. Want to do the honors?
no subject
No!
[Not to mention a furious shake of the head. Subtle is clearly his strong suit here.]
I mean--I know what's in it already. And that it's perfectly fine. I can feel it from here. No need to check!
no subject
Umm, okay then. [He half-raises his hand up.] If you're certain.
[He...might not want to touch on this one. Better to let it go.]
Anyways, do you want to go take a look around the rest of the place together? If that closet is any indication, this may be a more complicated situation than we're even expecting right now.
no subject
After you, Doctor Wells.
no subject
It seems like a strange kidnapping don't you think? Not confined to anywhere in particular, free roam. Any thoughts about what brought us here? Or why?
no subject
...Metahuman? [He shrugged.] Either somebody wanting to show off their latest tech, Bug Eyed Bandit-style, or else we're both Hallucinating right now.
no subject
no subject
[His lips twisted in thought, wishing he had a lollipop. Or a piece of gum. Something to physically chew on while his brain mentally chewed on a theory.]
...unless you're a hallucination too.
[It would certainly explain a lot.]
no subject
No.
[No.]
no subject
...probably.
[Or, you know, what a real person who wasn't a hallucination would say.]
no subject
And makes you think you're not the hallucination, hm?
no subject
...touche.
[If he was a hallucination, he was a pretty good one. Definitely giving off the Boss Man vibes, for sure. Cisco certainly felt like a reprimanded employee, that's for sure.]
Okay. Hypothetically speaking here.
You're real. I'm real. Even this place is real. Which means the other people I've heard running around must be real, too.
Maybe they even have some real answers to our really real questions?
no subject
We aren't safe here, Cisco, remember that. I say that as your boss, your friend... [he smiles] and as a lucid visual and auditory hallucination of your mind.
no subject
Even my own subconscious bosses me around. Of course.
[Then, louder:]
Okay, new plan.
They might be weak, but there's some signal getting out. If we could send a highly encrypted transmission concealing our precise location, it could give us a chance to make contact with minimal risk.
no subject
Sounds like as good as any plan. We shouldn't make the transmission too long, in case we get noticed by the source of the network and get shutdown. Maybe make it a sound of some sort.
no subject
Like a written message, or some image that only people we trust would get?
