I. Second Time's The Charm This... this looks awfully familiar, and... familiar in an awful way. Look around all you like, it won't change, it won't go away. You are in Wonderland. No, worse: You're back in Wonderland. Just when everything was nice and comfortable at home, or-- or wasn't it? Maybe you're happy to be here again. Hey, no judgement, free room and board is nothing to scoff at! Blessing or curse, that's really up to you; all you know for sure is that, apparently, you're here to stay. II. What will you children do next? It's time for another wonderful event in Wonderland! For its duration characters will suddenly find themselves ten years older or younger. This can be physically, mentally, or both, i.e., if your character is 20 years old right now, they may become 10 physically but still have the mind and memories of their 20-year-old self, or they may revert to the mentality of their 10-year-old self and lose all the memories they have of being older. Characters over 200 years old may even age by a century, as a decade isn't that long for them. III. Through The Looking-Glass What an extraordinary day! All of Wonderland's mirrors-- just the things, not the capital Mirrors, not the ones like you --are suddenly shattered! Shards on the floor as far as the eye can see, and empty frames that are just begging to be stepped through! Oh, but you should really stay on your side unless the Queen of Hearts orders it otherwise. Or should you? Who's to say she wouldn't want you to investigate? Go ahead, go on, explore the real side for a change! Or... stay put right where you are, and see who comes to visit. It's really up to you. IV. Wildcard Play out your character's arrival. Celebrate their anniversary. Choose a different event to experience. Do anything and everything you like! |

[ He repeats the name as if he's trying to decide how he feels about it. Stormy blue eyes linger on her for a moment before he busies himself with burning the herbs to cast a privacy spell. Just in case one of his siblings were being too nosey. ]
What's your family name?
[ That was an easy enough question to get his point across. He couldn't shake that feeling, so when she brings up 1914, he stills, even so far as to hold his breath for a long moment. ]
The party.
[ She had been kind to him, and he'd known she was a powerful witch... ] Freya... [ Perhaps that's an affirmation that she had used that name... or perhaps he was simply trying to find his footing. ]
And what is it you want from me? Once may possibly be coincidence but twice meeting me is not.
[ The suspicion is evident in his voice, and he feels no guilt for it. Whenever someone seeks him out, it's for something - never just to say hi. ]
If I've done you wrong - retaliation isn't in your best interest. There's a pretty little harvest witch next door that made it rather clear with me brother that she intends to protect me.

So she decides to answer both questions, even if it only seems like she's answering the one, but she'll wait until the privacy spell settles before she does.]
My family name is Mikaelson.
no subject
So when she says what he'd assumed, his own expression softens.
He remembered Henrik, he'd heard of Freya - the sister lost to the plague. Obviously that hadn't been true... or maybe it had and she found a way back like he had... ]
Are you in trouble? Has Nik done something?
[ It's not an automatic trust, nor is it really touching on if he 100% believes it... but he certainly knows how he would want his siblings to react if he went to them for help. Not that he's even sure that she wants help. ]

Nothing that matters here. The version of Klaus that is here doesn't seem to recall meeting me, either. He just believes I'm one of the Tremé witches, and it's probably best it stays that way.
[She doesn't want to bring the Mikaelson War to this world's doors. They seem to have enough trouble already.]
But Klaus isn't why I'm here. I was simply ... curious. We hadn't had the chance to meet yet, not ... officially.
[She leaves off the because you're dead. That's probably for the best too.]
no subject
Met him did you? As pleasant as being trapped in a burning building - he is. If you're asking me to refrain from telling the prat who you are - your secret is safe.
[ He's smart enough to question why they haven't met but the thought doesn't stay long enough to really flesh it out - instead he's recalling when they had met. ]
Not counting when I'd been chatting you up before that bloody party? [ He can't help the amused look that finds his face - really he should probably be more disturbed but then not even a week ago Dean had implied he had a thing with Rebekah. At this point it took a lot to distress him. ]
Why me? Ask any of them and they'll say I'm a lunatic.
no subject
Don't worry. I wouldn't have let you get that far.
[She just wanted to be around her family in whatever capacity she could. If it happened to come with a bit of ... flirting, then so be it.
But after she lets that slide she glances back to him with no small capacity of curiosity, her hand wandering to her necklace again, where she kept Finn close to her.]
Finn was happy to see me, but the rest of them never knew me. Elijah and Rebekah seemed to come around, but Klaus ... Klaus is too warped in his own paranoia to even consider me family, and their loyalties are to him. Without the context or anyone here to vouch for me, I would simply be at square one all over again, and ... that is a battle I'm not sure I wish to begin.
[She pauses again, trying to choose her words carefully.]
And you are my family, just as they are. And we do have our history, sordid as it is.
[That's mostly teasing.]
I wanted to meet the little brother I never got the chance to know. I'll also stand to reason that you can't be a bigger lunatic than the one I've been living with for the last thousand years.
[She's not scared of him. She's not scared of anything really, save for Dahlia. And if Kol does turn on her and decide to kill her, then he'll find himself incredibly disappointed, just as Klaus was.]
no subject
goodbye rebekah, hello new favourite sisterBut her reaction to his teasing pulls an easy smile from him, a rare gesture if you're not Davina Claire. ]
I don't know, darling, I'm pretty charming... [ When he's not taking the piss. Kol lets out a laugh that sounds more like a sigh of relief. His expression falls as he listens to what she has to say about their siblings. ]
No, I'd say his paranoia means he thinks you're family. Don't remember how that party ended for me, do you? [ That sounds downright bitter, not that it is aimed at her. ] You want to earn their trust, I'm not the right one to use to try to get that. I've never seen eye to eye with them. The only one they cared less for than me is Finn.
Ah, I guess every family needs the lecherous one, aye? I forgive you for preying on my innocent mind.
[ Kol chuckles, finally moving from where he was standing to head to his closet to get something to drink. When he pulls out two water bottles he offers one to her, a silent invitation to make herself at home. While his room is a daunting mix of upper class snobbery and witchcraft he doesn't seem to mind her presence. From the cherry wood decor to the small indoor garden by where his room connects to Davina's with a simple door. Often he only spends time in here reading on the couch. ]
Who have you been living with?
no subject
[Save for Kol's, of course. She follows his lead and reaches for the water bottle with a grateful smile, accepting the gesture for what it is. And if she's going to have to tell the whole long story, she might as well have something to drink to go with it, though they'd probably be better off with something stronger.]
Our aunt. Dahlia.
no subject
She's the one that wanted Nik's baby dead. [ Hope was alive, his brother had shared that with him. ] So I guess bad behaviour runs in our family.
[ He's curious now, and that's obvious. ]
I heard you died of plague. You were with our aunt?
no subject
[It's clear from her tone that she isn't the largest fan of their mother, but she does have her reasons.]
I guess that does sound better than her giving me away.
no subject
Yes, I guess it does. Why did she give you to our aunt but keep us?
[ Kol watches her carefully, trying to decide what to feel on the matter. They were complete strangers and yet still family. She'd come to him, seemingly wanting nothing but some sort of connection. ]
Silas stayed alive and kept his magic through a similar curse to what was placed on me - you've got power though. How are you still alive and not... [ A bloodsucking monster like he had been. ] Is it the same curse as he had? [ Always the one curious about magic. Had his mother known she could have gone a different route? Had she known she needn't strip his magic away? ]
this is very late, I am sorry.
Dahlia did a spell, channeling both of our power to give us immortality. We sleep for a hundred years, and we live for one. We're immortal with immense power, but as you can see, it has it's limitations.
