Kitchen

[ Toriel has located the kitchen in the mansion, and is currently working away at making pies. She's used to feeding only up to four mouths, but she's up for the challenge of providing pies for as many of the mansion's residents as she can. After all, their situation may not be ideal, but pie rarely makes any situation worse. Plus, it's a distraction. She's yet to round up enough of the children stranded here to begin teaching again, and Toriel has never been good at whiling away her time without some sort of project.

So she can be found, humming to herself and wearing a large MTT-brand apron courtesy of her magic closet, as she makes crusts and prepares filling.

She makes a note to ask her closet for a bucket of snails sometime soon. She can't neglect her own favorite flavor of pie, after all. ]

There are those who may prefer blueberry. I would not want to presume. I am making pies. I would like to make enough that everyone has a flavor that they would prefer. It is exciting that I have access to so many ingredients, including ones I have not used before. ]:)

I enjoy baking quite a lot. And as I have not yet organized a curriculum for the children who are trapped here, I can think of no better way to occupy my time. Thank you. I am just hoping comfort those that I can, as our situation is not ideal. Is there another flavor of pie you would suggest?

I will keep that in mind, thank you. ]:) I am indeed a teacher back home. It is something I have wished to do for many years, and I have only just begun. I am hoping I will be able to arrange classes for the children who are trapped here so they do not fall behind.

[ She won't lie, it's the smell of baking that draws Carolina into the kitchen. She's surprised, upon entering, to spot someone...actually doing to baking. For a few moments, she stands there, watching, mostly confused. It's just weird, she'd never expected to find anyone using the kitchen when the dining room is so much more convenient.

In fact, she goes on to comment on that: ]

You know, you don't have to spend your time baking, right? The dining room will give you whatever food you want.

That is true, but I am not making pies because I am hungry. I am making them because I enjoy doing so.

[ She looks up from the pumpkin pie batter she's mixing and smiles. ] I did not have access to many of these ingredients for some time, so I am enjoying myself working with them.

Oh.

[ Well... That makes sense, she guesses. It's probably good to have a hobby to distract yourself with around here, anyway. ]

I get it. But it looks like you're making a lot more than necessary... Are you planning on feeding the entire mansion?

[ That'll take some dedication, for sure. ]

[ She nods, beginning to pour the batter into a prepared crust. ] It may take me some time, but I am hoping to bake enough pies for everyone trapped here. I will need to consider everyone's dietary needs, though.

[ She looks up and winks. ] Humans, I have discovered, have very discerning palates.

[ She can't help it, he expression softens a little and she even smiles a bit. This...goat-person(?) seems really sweet, if she's trying to bake pies for everyone in the mansion. ]

That's not something I can argue. [ Carolina smiles a little wider, folding her arms over her chest. ] You might want to ask over the network for that, though. I'm sure anyone who wants pie will chime in with what they'd like.

[Oh my god it's her. Holy shit okay gotta play it cool.]

i tend to lean toward pumpkin. i got a question for you, though. why did the skeleton want a friend?

[ If you could see the look on her face. It's the goofiest, warmest smile as she reads and recognizes that joke. ]

I imagine it was because he was bonely. ]:) In which case, I would suggest he visit the kitchen and help with baking some pies. <3
