Wow, that sounds a little too familiar. Can you say story of his life? There's no guarantee that the it he's thinking of can't follow him here, either. Which is just - god, that's just really great.

"They got movies?" Okay, color him intrigued. That's at least relevant to his interests. "Please tell me our ~benefactors at least have decent taste."

Because by god if these Wonderland people turn out to be tasteless, talentless sell-outs he will have words. Maybe even fill in that 'decent film' void himself. Who knows. He's gotta be good for something around here, right?

"That depends entirely on what sort of good taste you can come up with. The brochure wasn't kidding about those magic closets--"

He unfolds the brochure for a direct quote.

"'Think about what you want, open them, bam. Room service'. Which, yes, also extends to the cinematic selection. Just like a lazy version of 'if you can dream it, be it', and--"

Philip snaps his fingers.

"I think a few guys even set up a movie theatre on one of the floors, although I'm not sticking my head out for their taste. If nothing else there's something incredibly fascinating about watching bad movies that won't exist in your world for several years? It's like warm-up exercises for doomsday prophecies."

"Damn." That actually doesn't sound half-bad. A real-life fresh start away from the paranoia dogging his life - assuming it doesn't follow him here, which is unfortunately more than likely - and an all-access theater to sweeten the deal. Even the threat of incipient murder isn't enough to faze him (yet). He's been a target of attempted murder before. He can handle himself. He thinks.

"When you put it like that, place doesn't seem so bad." Of course, he's pretty sure he'll be changing his mind soon enough. But shh, let him have his happy moment.
