[ bonnie hesitates, her worry culminating in the way she chews at her lip for a moment before responding. she's thinking hard, brow furrowing against the instinct to bark out it's no one's business but mine and stop responding. she desperately needs it, and why shouldn't she justify that if this woman's kind enough to help her? ]

It's really personal. [ she's seen weird things happen here too, but bonnie's experiences and what she's seen her family go through give her strong instincts against flaunting her talents. ] It helps me ... focus. I can get along OK without it, honestly I just-- it's hard to describe. I'm sorry, I'm just not used to talking about this so openly -- it's not really a good idea in my world.

[There's definitely something she's dancing around even before the woman admits to it, and Cami presses her lips into a tight smile. There's a trust required that they lack, and with secrets of her own Cami can understand why this woman would be so reluctant to share with a stranger.

But Wonderland twists the rules, and what has to stay secret in her own world isn't treated with the same hush hush nature here.]
I get it, believe me. I come from a world where the entire supernatural community is kept hidden from the vast majority of human beings. [A community that is much more active in Wonderland, with a high number of people willing to declare their non-human nature over the network.

Still, for her sake, Cami switches the feed over to something private.]
Not to mention that I'm the local therapist, so I'm very used to keeping secrets.

Your world has supernatural elements?

[ too excited to mask that her curiosity as disbelief, bonnie instantly focuses back in on cami. it's urgent. her need to not only reconnect with what it means to be a witch but also with other people who might share the same experiences helps her cast her usual caution to the wind.

cami's claim to a proclivity to keep information private doesn't hurt either. the creases in her brow lessen, and bonnie even sits up a little straighter, hungry for the connection.
]

Mine is the same, actually. My friends and I are mixed up in things that are ... beyond unbelievable. It started with a vampire.

[Apparently that had really been the right thing to say, Bonnie's caution transforming to eagerness in the span of a few words. She nods to confirm that yes, the supernatural truly does exist in her world, although the coincidences don't end with the general.]

Same here, actually. Technically two vampires fighting over control of a city. [And now she has to ask, however remote the odds. She's been the only one from her version of the world for months now, and it'd would be nice to have someone to connect to.] You wouldn't happen to be from New Orleans, would you? [A beat later, she tacks on another city--the other major one people seem to be pulled from who shared her universe.] Or Mystic Falls?

We're from the same world.

[ bonnie speaks the words, and it's almost like she's grabbed hold of a life saver and isn't just floating out in an ocean all alone anymore. ]

I mean-- yes. I'm from Mystic Falls. How...?

It seems like it. [Though not the same city, so their common knowledge is likely to be limited. Still, she's glad to have someone around who would think "vampire" and have the same weaknesses and abilities come to mind.]

There have been a few people from Mystic Falls who showed up in Wonderland, although they've all been sent home. I got to know Matt Donovan pretty well; we worked at the bar together. [She watches the other woman, careful to keep an eye on her reactions.] Katherine Pierce and Elena Gilbert were here too, and the Salvatore brothers: Damon and Stefan.
