What do you mean, "forgotten creature?" [That's... a weird way to put it.]

This is Wonderland. People wake up here all the time. So far I haven't been able to see the power, but I will. [He's determined.] ...anyway, I'm Dipper. I can answer any questions you have.

[Though it'd be cool if you acted a little less creepy....]

[Determination. One of the few things that reaches Chara anymore. Their smile, if anything, grows a shade more angelic.]

I mean that I am supposed to be dead. The last person left who uttered my name has thrown it away.

[And speaking of being dead... well. That. Is a question of its own. Time to act a little less creepy!]

Tell me. What happens to people when they die here?

[oh wait did you say less creepy whoops my bad]

[Dipper twitches a little at the question. I's... a weird one to ask, and he's died too many times in too short a time to be entirely comfortable talking about it. But he takes his role as Exposition Guy pretty seriously, so he pushes through it.]

You come back. Takes a little longer each time, and then the fifth time you come back... different. I don't know how, and I'm... not really eager to experiment enough to find out. I don't know if anyone's died a sixth time, but again, pretty okay not finding that one out the hard way.

[A beat.]

What... usually happens? [Cause most people are dead after they die. Like that's generally what dying means.]

How interesting.

[Five chances. Instead of endless ones. Everyone else has five lives to burn through, too. If they know who killed them, then they'll surely remember when they come back. This game is much more high-stakes, but it sounds.

Very, very fun.]

What happens? What a stupid question. People die when they are killed.

[Chara's smile stretches wider. Very funny, is it not?]

Unless, I suppose, they are determined. Then. You awaken again. And again. And again. Until death loses meaning. Becomes only a minor irritant. Until even the awful agony of being struck down no longer means a thing.

You asked it first.

[So if it's a stupid question, this guy has no one but himself to blame.]

You can... just not die because you're determined? [That sounds fake but okay.]

Oh, no. You still die. It's quite painful. You just... undo it.

[Though not as painful as the first time was. Or the second. Nothing could top those. Go figure they were the deaths Chara had never quite figured out how to conveniently undo.]

No need to act so surprised, you know. You can just not die here, correct? Five whole times. For even less of a reason than determination, from the sound of it. Death that fixes itself just because. Isn't that harder to believe?
