[The tableau she's frozen in as he comes back out is one worth capturing on film. Kenzi balancing precariously, the bottle just out of reach. Her pale blue eyes are narrowed into slits, accentuated by heavy, black eye make-up and her mouth is pulled into a toothy line that can only be described as;

Eeeeek.

Her mouth opens, as if she's going to have an excellent comeback that will get her out of this, but instead comes back with;]

I thought it was self serve? Like a Buffet. [ Squints.

Her expression shifts at the dangling of the bottle however, her face a dramatic mask of offense, mouth open in a wide O.]

Well now you're just being rude. [Says the person who just tried to steal his booze.]

It can be. If no one's on shift.

[ He is very obviously on shift now, Kenzi. Also he's grinning at the scandalized expression she casts him. ]

Rude? Me?

[ He pretends to think that over for a minute. ]

I think that's the nicest compliment I've heard all day.

I was saving you the bother of doing your job? [She's got at least a hundred of these lines and Simon, working in the bar, will likely hear them all before long.]

It's not nice to taunt the needy, you know that, right?! [Trying to sell her scowl. It might be more intimidating if she weren't a tiny person and weren't at risk of face planting any second now.]

Okay... [The scowl melting away as she throws a hand out to try and maintain balance.] A little help?!

[ He just laughs and catches her arm, easily helping her back off the bar to where her stool is on the other side. ]

There. Better? [ His smile is warm and amused. ] Alright, Miss Needy. What can I get you?

[At least she manages to right herself with a modicum of eloquence; By which she means there was no flashing of other people or an introduction between her face and the floor.

She cocks her head at well, how easy that was? Kenzi's eyes narrowing as she waits for him to turf her out or something.]

You're still going to serve me?! [A slow smile creeping across her face.] This is the best alternate universe I've ever landed in!

[ That gets a snort of laughter from him. ]

Land in a lot of them, do you? Yes, I will still serve you. But you need to tell me what you want first. Or at least give me a flavor craving to go off of. I'm not in the habit of kicking people out unless they start shit with someone here.

[ That's happened a time or two before. ]

A couple. [The best part about that is that this is one of those rare occasions when Kenzi... isn't actually lying.] Mirrors and Alternate Universes is becoming quite the theme in my life but at least here nobody is trying to eat me. [A beat.] Which you'd think would be a bad thing but not in the way I mean.

[At least you know that conversation with Kenzi will nevr be dull, Simon.]

If I say an Iced Tea, will you give me one from Long Island or serve me a beer instead?
