[Sans does not do stairs. I mean, okay, his and Papyrus's house had a grand total of like six stairs, and he only uses them if he thinks Papyrus is looking. Otherwise, man. That's just a whole lot of exercise he doesn't need in his life.]

[Stairs are only useful for making yourself feel tall and for convenient seating. So he's just sitting smack in the middle of the staircase, fiddling with the communicator and snickering over some punny text messages when lo and behold...]

[Mettaton paused his grooming and grinned. A fan! Time to impress. Dropping his hand to his side, he twirled around to face the skeleton. He stopped for a moment, clearly thinking, then smiled again.]

Unfortunately not, but I assure you that as the Underground's top performer, I will be sure to please despite this minor case of what I assume is magical kidnapping until I can return to my actual tour on the surface. Regardless, if I recall correctly your name was...Sans?

[Fans love it when you talk to them. They also love it if you happen to know their names, though that didn't happen often. It was nice to see a semi-familiar face though.]

[Oh man this guy is as absurd as he remembers.]

yeah, the surface is pretty great so far, right? and yep. magical kidnapping is pretty much exactly what happened. except no kidnapper.

[Sans's lack of embarrassment in talking to the robot was refreshing, if in a slightly annoying way. When you're used to people fawning over every move you make, you can become slightly conflicted when someone treats you like an every day citizen.]

The surface has been everything I've dreamed of, and more. My sunscreen line has been selling like hotcakes ever since we got to the surface. Much better than before.

[He cocks his head a little to the side at the thought of there being no specific kidnapper.]

So if this was a kidnapping, what did grab me here, if not a person?

[He smiles once again at Sans's surprise.]

Well, seeing as I am currently facing a lot of free time, I have plenty of opportunities to mingle with devoted fans.
