A. NETWORK

I think I have this working...

[The feed opens up with what looks to be a distraught young man. Bangs are of a gray-white hue, a prominent scar over the bridge of his nose, and sweat covering his brow. He also looks like he has a space-like suit, mostly composed of the color back.]

Princess Allura, Coran? Do you read? Paladins, check in! This is Shiro! My lion, it's--

[He hangs his head, scrubbing at his face with one hand.] Who am I kidding? Coran said the wormhole was corrupted. I may have disappeared to a different universe than everyone else.

[Shiro glances at the feed apologetically.]

Sorry, I'm just trying to get in touch with my team.

B. ACTION

[After getting acquainted with his room, and his closet, he steps out in much normal clothing, mostly composed of black colors, but his metal right arm is apparent this time around, instead of being hidden under his space suit.

That same hand flexes and curls its fingers as pink circuits light up over it. He closes his eyes and his hand glows a bright pink. It looks hot to the mere touch, and he lets his hand lash out in front of him in the hallway, slicing a vase cleanly in half. With just his hand.

Shiro flinches, watching the vase, and its contents crumble to the ground. He kneels down, trying to pick it up.]

At least I know that still works...

[River jumps when she hears the crash of glass, instantly turning towards it, but breathes a deep sigh when she just sees the broken vase. She feels slightly embarrassed over how jumpy she is nowadays, but she just hopes this man didn't notice it.]

Don't have to clean it. Mom can always fix it up.

[Shiro turns his head towards the young woman and blinks. He looks around them, as if she was referencing someone who was nearby. Mom? Was it some kind of title, or her... actual mom?

He stands up straight.]

Ah, alright.

[He rubs his neck bashfully.]

Who is... Mom, exactly?

[New arrivals, but that's an interesting looking suit so Wash is more inclined to take notice. He switches on his feed, still mostly wearing his armour after training, holding his helmet on his lap. Wash looks typically exhausted, but that's becoming his natural state of being these days.]

I'm guessing when you're talking about different universes you're not talking about slipspace travel.

[Shiro takes note of his armor. Vastly different from his own, but still curious all the same. A soldier of some sort? Militant? He looks pretty tired too. His brows furrow in concern. The Paladin shakes his head.]

I don't think so. I'm not sure exactly. It's complicated.

Our wormhole malfunctioned and it scattered my teammates.

Slipspace is... different dimensions which allow your ship to travel at light speed. Sorry I can't explain it better. I'm a marine not a scientist.

[It was long and tedious and kind of disturbing the first time you saw it, or when you got out of a jump and realised the other ships in the fleet had taken a week less to do the same journey.]

Well, at least as far as we know time doesn't pass at home for as long as you're here.

[Pidge is also in normal clothes, fiddling with something complicated-looking and electronic as she walks so she doesn't even see Shiro until she hears the smash of a vase. She yelps and looks up, startled.

Then she sees who's being super destructive.]

Shiro!

[She runs at him, arms opening to hug him. It's been weeks for her and while she knows time wasn't moving on the outside, she was still worried.]

[The taller Paladin sure wasn't expecting that. He stumbles back a few steps, tensing in the hold of whoever was holding--]

Pidge--! [He immediately wraps his arms around the young girl and embraces her tightly.]

Thank goodness, you're alright! I wasn't sure if I'd see you again. [he pulls back just enough to look down at her, brows furrowed. Hopeful.]

Are the others here too?

[She shakes her head, reaching up to readjust her glasses.] It's just me. Just has been me for the past few weeks, and apparently time is weird here so no one will even notice we're missing.

[Besides that they were already missing. They won't be able to take actions to get them back.]
