[All right, so Natalie has no idea where she is, but she can be calm. Right? Maybe? All she knows is that she's got a lot of questions.]
Uh...hi. [She waves halfheartedly.] This is probably, like, the most obvious question ever, but why am I in some sort of weird fairytale? I mean, Wonderland? Kind of lame, right?
[Natalie sighs, clearly frustrated.]
I just need to get out of here. Sorry. I mean, not sorry, but I also hate complaining, so.
[ b: action: the music room ]
Natalie's been here a day and a half and already, she's found a favorite spot. She sort of stumbled upon the piano by accident--she was looking for a way out of this place (yet again)--and when she saw the music room, she couldn't help but feel a little more at home.
Currently, she's sitting at the piano, letting her fingers run over the black and white keys that look so clean and shiny--not at all like the keyboard she had to practice on at school back home. It reminds her that she has something she's good at, even if right now, she feels more confused than ever.
Natalie sighs contentedly and begins to play, making up a tune as she goes. Hey, it's like...jazz, right? Henry would be proud, is what she tells herself, as it starts to resemble a coherent melody.
hope you're still around ahhhh BUT A
[He smiles in a way he thinks is suave. Ish.]
But in the meantime, at least we can make plenty of friends?
I'm here! :D
Uh, yeah. Sure, I guess. But like...aren't you still confused?
By everything here, I mean.
[She frowns.]
I kind of need to be home right now, too. So.
YAY i love this show so much *o*
[He's not gonna elaborate on how long he's been here right now, though. ]
At least you aren't going to miss anything, really. You'll go right back to where you were if you go back, even if you end up coming back here again.
me too~
Lovely.
Look, if you have, like, any insight into how I can speed up the whole "getting back home" process, that'd be helpful.

[Sirius shrugs, his lips quirking up apologetically.]
You can help us try and figure it out, if that's what you really want. But there's no quick fix, as far as anyone knows.
no subject
[Natalie frowns. Again. Her face is probably going to get stuck this way.]
So, what do people here do instead?
no subject
[He shrugs.] I mean, there are people who've made this all a community. A few couples have gotten married and such. It's not totally terrible, in that way.
no subject
Well, it'll take some getting used to, I guess.
But still. It's weird.
B oh my god Natalie
Today though, someone else is occupying that space. Wirt stands in the door and listens, awkward as ever with his clarinet case, and resists the urge to just leave and come back when the room is empty. It helps that her playing is genuinely captivating - he genuinely wants to stay and listen.
When she finishes, he sets down his case and gently claps - he doesn't want to call too much attention to himself, but not acknowledging her piece seems like it might be worse. Then again, he tends to accidentally call attention to himself without trying, with his tall red hat and blue cape.
"You, um--" he tries, but changes his mind at the last moment. "...That was really good."
aw yeah 8)
When she sees Wirt, she has to remind herself not to laugh, because that red hat is kind of weirdly hilarious to her. Instead, she smiles, albeit a tad awkwardly, and shrugs.
"...Thanks," Natalie says, trying to let herself accept the compliment. A pause, and then she sees the clarinet case.
"Sorry, were you going to play here?" Should she leave? She kind of doesn't want to. "I mean, is there like, a list? For reserving the room? I didn't see one, but..."
Now she feels awkward again. Great.

So Wirt tends to just go and not worry about whether someone's there or not, but he can't seem to get the words out.
"B-But I-- I can come back later, if you'd rather be alone?" He forces an uncomfortable laugh. "I mean, it's not like I'm in any hurry, since we're all stuck here."
If it helps, it might not be possible to be more awkward than he is.
no subject
"I mean--" she continues, realizing she sounds a little rude, "I mean, yeah, but like...if--"
Hm.
"Would you want to, um, practice together? Or take turns? We could set up a schedule?"
There. Now Natalie feels a little more polite. And maybe she can even forget about home for a bit, like how she was when she was playing earlier.
no subject
"Really? I mean, I-I wouldn't mind if you wouldn't, but like...I wouldn't want to hold you up either?" He awkwardly rubs his arm as he talks. "So...if you want to we could practice together? B-But like, it's okay if you'd rather I just leave too. Um, whatever you want to do. You were here first, after all."
And therefore it's rightly her decision, though he would probably let it be her decision even if the roles were reversed. He's never been very good at deciding things, ever.
no subject
"We can practice together," she says, shrugging, as if she's too cool for this conversation. Which she's not, obviously. "I don't mind. And besides, it would be good for me to play with someone, instead of just on my own."
