I was making far less noise than you are now. If you hadn't felt the need to engage, you'd have had your quiet much sooner.

[You know. He wasn't yelling at someone for one off-hand comment.]

I was attempting some research of my own, but this library appears to believe my topic of interest doesn't exist. Which is rather unusual, given that I clearly do.

[Well, you got her. She enjoys arguing as much as she enjoys research. But she doesn't need to acknowledge that when she can give him a disdainful look through her sunglasses and press him for more details. That's an interesting statement to make.]

[He's noticing the lack of argument, though, trust him. He smiles back blandly at that look, eyelids slightly closed. He's had worse looks.]

Myself, my family- yes. Why, never met a myth before?

A myth. [Her tone is dry and skeptical. She's been in Wonderland for long enough that the possibility should be easy to accept by now. She's glad it isn't.]

I've met plenty who claimed they deserved that designation. All of them failed to impress.

I don't claim, and I don't see the need to prove it, either. I know who I am.

[He tilts his head, raising one eyebrow.]

Besides, I doubt anything much would impress someone already convinced otherwise, no matter how miraculous I made it.

[She lowers her sunglasses down her nose so she can look out over them with her creepy, dead-looking eyes. The light stings, as it always does when it enters her permanently fully dilated pupils, but it's not bright enough to really burn, and it's worth it, sometimes, to make a point.]

I'm a skeptic, not an idiot. And you still haven't told me who you are, Mr. Myth.

[That's a little creepy, but hey, deal with the Disir and after that almost everyone looks normal. He just smirks, a sharp expression that maybe looks a little old for the rest of Loki.]

I didn't, but you didn't wait for introductions, either. Loki, Norse god of mischief, mostly.

[But not Evil, and he's pretty happy about that these days. Sadly, so many of his abilities aren't really for display purposes- and so many of the rest are indistinguishable from things mortal magicians do all the time to wow crowds. Besides, he tries not to use them for nothing.

He can shapeshift easily enough, though, and after a moment he does, still talking casually despite taking on the head of a fox.]

Alas, I seem to have left my ID in my other coat, and I've never had a birth certificate.

[She shoves her sunglasses back into place to hide her surprise. Well then. He's clearly got powers, though she's not sure she buys the god thing.]

Georgia Mason. Head of the Factual News division of After the End Times. [She puts a little more emphasis on the word factual than strictly necessary.] I've never been much of a mythology buff, but doesn't that make you also the god of lies?

Loki Lie-Smith, yes.

[Not that he likes that title particularly, but it's one of the few people have heard of. Still better than some of the other things he used to be called, too.]

Do you have an Non-factual News division, as well? I can't see a reason to specify the Factual part of your title otherwise.
