[As Leonard notes quietly, it's three point forty-seven minutes later that he makes it to the roof, not surprised to find Sara there already. He has his hands in his pockets as he stops next to her, surveying their surroundings with less of an intensity, at least at the moment.] You look about ready to fly off.

Might, if I could.

( sara acknowledges his presence with a slight turn of her head, a nod. ) But thankfully, I don't really have a death wish. Even here. ( been there, done that, et cetera. leonard can probably relate now. )

Good. Never saw much need to wish for that. Pretty easy to come by, death.

[As they're both definitely aware of. Still, he steps closer to the edge, just a few feet, looking down. If he's scared of heights, it doesn't show.]

I might be better off. Easier ending up here when you got no unfinished business.

( that gets leonard a quick quirk of her lips into something like a frown — not that he sees it, because he takes a step closer to the edge; she follows suit, tries to follow the path his gaze takes, keeping her arms folded across her chest. )

None I can return to. [Since she'd asked, he might as well but it out there. Not as if they're not both very aware. He has nothing to get back to, not because he doesn't want to, but because exploding is a one-way street, as far as he knows.]

( the dramatics make sara roll her eyes, give him a nudge with her elbow, not even half as hard as she could, all in spite of the way the corners of her mouth creep into a small smile of their own accord. not that she'll admit it, but she's starting to realize how much she's really missed his indescribable brand of ... leonard-ness in the time since the vanishing point. this place might be some twisted kind of limbo, but at least it's given her this small — albeit occasionally frustrating — reprieve. )

[He stays where he is, even if her elbow is right there and that's a lot closer than he usually lets people stay to him. There's exceptions to everything and somehow Sara has become one, where previously that has mostly been reserved for Lisa and Mick.]
