UM ALWAYS come to me
[No doubt she'll think he's joking, or making some elaborate metaphor, despite the seriousness with which he delivers that.]
Well, we can't stay here, and yet we have literally no choice. [He lifts his eyebrows.] You think I haven't been? I can slip a pair of handcuffs in seconds and after six months, I'm still here. I'm mind-blowingly irritating, let me tell you.
YAY
Okay. Okay. Let's start from the beginning. What's the last thing you remember before you came here? And do you remember anything about how you actually got here?
/reaches forrrr
That whole issue with those wings of mine that you helped me find.
[The ones that, in the end, he had burned on a beach before telling her they no longer mattered.]
As for how I got here, one moment I wasn't, and the next I simply was. It was all rather sudden, really. Not to mention perplexing.
/runs into your arms
As for the timeline, well, it lined up with hers. Minus the whole, he had been here for six months and she'd only seen him the day before. ]
Yeah, that's what happened with me, too.
[ So what now? Here they were, trapped in this bizarre place, with no idea how they got there and no idea how they would get home. Chloe was frustrated, not with Lucifer, but more with herself for managing to get into this situation. ]
So what exactly have you been doing to keep yourself busy, exactly?
yessss come to me /catches
[The Detective has many more reasons to want to return home than he does. Several of the things he would want to return to he's managed to have here as well. If anything, Chloe herself was one of the only things he truly missed about Earth.]
I opened a club, of course. Deux Lux - my room is above it, as usual, though the place lacks an elevator. It wasn't particularly necessary this time. [He points toward the ceiling.] It's up on the sixth floor if you'd like to take a peek.

[ She kind of wants to strangle him. She's not really mad - she understandings the psychology of going back to what you know and all that, but he seems to be handling this in so much more stride than she can wrap her head around.
Granted, he had been there for six months, which was a long time. And granted... This was Lucifer. Taking things in stride was always easier for him that it was for her. ]
Yeah, you know... Okay. I could use a drink, actually.

[He seems genuinely curious as to what she really expected from him as far as passing the time goes. It seemed like a rather obvious solution to his bored to him.]
Excellent. [He casually offers her his arm.] Right this way.

Is your bar as successful here as the one in LA? [ To be fair, she can't imagine Lucifer without Lux. It always seemed like his passion project, the thing that helped make him who he was. Maybe it was good that he found something like that here. ]

[They reach the stairs and he starts up them, taking his time as they head upward.]
I couldn't find anyone who wanted to be a dancer, either. A shame.

[ What? She can't help it. There might be a little jealously to her voice, but she wouldn't ever admit it. Lucifer can do whatever he wants, with whoever he wants - and he usually does. ]
I'm surprised with even 200 people you couldn't find someone willing to writhe around on a stage and take off her top. [ She pauses, regretting that word choice right away. ] And before you say anything, no, I'm not interested.

[He sighs, shaking his head.]
That's what I thought. Unfortunately, Wonderland is filled to the brim with prudes trying to protect the virgin eyes of the children who live here, as if it's something most of them haven't seen before.
no subject
[ Who cares about your bar, Lucifer. Children are involved. Worse, now she's wondering if Trixie might be there, too. ]
no subject
[He cares about his bar, thank you very much. It's very important to him.]

[ The drink can wait. ]
This is so much worse than I thought it was.
