[ Like anyone not looking to walk headfirst into trouble in a new and strange place, Akira announces his presence.

Not right away. But a short afternoon after his inexplicable arrival sees wandering up and down the deceptively normal looking hallways of the mansion in his Shujin Academy uniform, a disquiet building at how perfectly okay that seemed to be. Right then. About now is when research would start? Morgana or Makoto would know better, but since it doesn't seem like they're here...

It's not like he tries to stand out either. Trouble just seems to find him after a time whether he wants it to or not. But since browsing the network archives isn't yielding anything useful without someone to bounce ideas off of, the next logical step is just bouncing them off the network. Thus comes an audio post. ]

Anyone seen a talking cat around?

[ He didn't promise it'd be a sensible one. ]

[ Funny that in the Checkerboard Fields he'd find a chess set.

It'd be the most futile game of chess against yourself to have ever taken place considering the life-sized pieces and the effort it'd take to hoof it from one side to the other in order to make a handful of moves.

But at the same time he's thinking on it, movement out of the corner of his eye draws his attention, turning to address the apparent passer-by. ]

Hey. Up for a game?

[It doesn't have to be a sensible question. Kanji tends to be on the lookout for new faces to begin with, his own arrival in Wonderland having been pretty damn rough, but mention of a talking cat gets his attention quicker than most.

He has priorities.]

[ Hrm. Akira hadn't ruled out that he wandered into a Palace of some sort, though his cell is being frustratingly unhelpful on that front. Gathering info with his own eyes and ears.

...It's tough, doing that on his own. Being on his own again. ]

This place is called Wonderland; I don't know what I was expecting.

[ Akira sounds amused though. No, it isn't who he was talking about, but thanks for responding. ]

It was kinda unfair of me to ask anyway. [ Not like anyone but those who've visited the Metaverse could hear Morgana anyway. ] I guess if you meet a cat that acts even more pompous than one usually does let me know.
