[Beatrice distinctly remembers flying face first into Wirt, but after that is a complete blur. She woke to find herself snug inside the hollow of a tree she doesn't recognize. She's had some pretty terrible collisions before, but blacking out is pretty new.

She flies through the forest, trying to orient herself, until she finally comes to a clearing and sees the mansion.]

NOPE. I'm out. I've had enough of creepy locales.

[She flies right back into the forest, directly the way that she flew out, and finds herself in the same exact spot, looking towards the mansion.]

NO NO NO.

[Greg's not birdwatching today (or any day because that's boring) but he definitely watches this bird when he sees it flapping its wings hard and not going anywhere. It almost looks like it's stomping or something, like it's all mad! Greg giggles at the image and leaves the stick fort he'd been constructing to check on the bird.]

Hey bird! Are you ok-- wait. Beatrice? Quick, if it's you, say words!

[Can birds normally sigh? Well, Beatrice certainly can.]

Of course it's me, Greg, I saw you a whole five minutes ago.

[As a general rule, Wirt avoids the forest. He gets lost too easily and with his track record he'll wind up in another magical maybe-purgatory and...yeah, no. He's not doing that.

However, he's pretty sure he saw something fly into the woods nearby? Yelling?]

[And he wanders away and that's the end of that.

...No, wait, actually that's probably Beatrice. With that realization he turns around and jogs over to that part of the woods, hoping he can catch up to her.]

Beatrice? Beatrice! [A pause.] ...Oh my god I'm going to feel so dumb if that wasn't her. Beatrice?

WIRT!

[Beatrice has never been so happy to see her favorite pointy-headed loser. She flies to him and wraps her wings around his hat in the closest thing a bird can manage to a hug.

[Wirt holds the sides of his hat so she doesn't knock it off his head, but he doesn't make her stop or anything.]

Um. ...Wonderland? Did you forget everything again when you left?

[Probably, since she's a bird again. That's a pretty big giveaway that it was a dumb question.]

Well, I did black out, but I had just run into you and when I woke up you weren't there, and this place doesn't look like the Unknown...

Wonderland? What kind of name is that?

E-Except you didn't really like that the second time you came back and we got in a different fight about it because you hadn't had the fight yet so you were mad I was already okay with it? So...uh. Do with that what you will, I guess?

[She's prooobably going to be mad about it again but he's not sure how to avoid that at this point.]

Okay, you're clearly crazy. I've never been here before. And there was NO closure on my end. Can't I just apologize for being terrible? I never got to apologize, I have no idea what you're on about.

[Honestly, she's more confused and irritated than angry.]

[Georgia blinks. Even the sunglasses she always wears can't quite hide her surprise at seeing a talking bird. Sure, she's seen a lot of weird stuff in Wonderland. This is still new.]

Great. I've wandered into a fucking Disney movie.

[She crosses her arms, looking at the bird skeptically.]

Yeah, no, I'm just being pulled in by the creepiest possible setting ever and no matter what I do I can't get out.
