I've had a lot of weird shit happen to me before.

( ah, the life of a popular girl. going to wild parties, drinking alcohol and dabbling in drugs — strange things definitely happen then. the weirdest probably being kidnapped, drugged and - eventually - killed, though that was something she hadn't anticipated at all. but of course, being dragged to another world is on a whole new level.

there's nothing that can really compare to that. but still she's smiling into the camera, charming and bright in the way people always spoke of her after her death - though she doesn't know that. )

But this is definitely the weirdest. ( rachel doesn't doubt that everyone feels pretty much the same. probably. ) Hey, at least I'm pretty good at adapting. Just tell me that there's a place I can find a good camera and maybe even a good drink, and we're sorted.

( she totally has an excuse for drinking. her last memory isn't exactly an amazing one, in fact it's one she would prefer to forget, and the best way to do that is to get roaring drunk - even if she'll regret it and still remember the next day. still, anything to make this transition easier is a plus in her book. )

ACTION — kitchen.

( listen, rachel doesn't know how long it has been since she last had something to eat. although she doesn't forego meals like some students she knows, mostly the ones who live on the on-campus dorms, maybe she had skipped dinner before she went to the vortex club party. and her kidnapper wasn't exactly eager to feed her when she was drugged, tied up and photographed.

the first place she goes to with this in mind is the kitchen. she goes through a couple of cupboards and digs into a fridge before pulling out ingredients for what appears to be a sandwich, setting them on the side with a bright grin.

maybe then someone else enters, or they've been there the whole time and it's only now that she looks at them, but all the same she starts speaking: ) Would you like one? I'm pretty good at making sandwiches, or so I've been told. You'll definitely be missing out if you say no.

[Late night snacks are part and parcel of the Max Caulfield lifestyle, at least here in Wonderland. Especially ever since all the bad shit happened- the storm, the kidnappings, Chloe leaving Wonderland.

She knows that most everyone in the mansion has gone through things just as bad, or worse. So seeing someone else come into the kitchen on a late night isn't a big surprise. Max glances at the other girl, then goes back to chowing down on her cereal...

...feeling strange.

She slowly looks back up at the blonde and... stares. Eyes wide. Throat suddenly very dry. Rachel goes through her whole sandwich routine with Max staring from one end of the kitchen, trying to match in her mind a picture to the real thing.

When Rachel finally speaks to her Max jerks in surprise.]

Huh-? Oh! Uhhh...
