I could probably use the whole barrel if I'm being honest. Between Roni and a few other people here, then just being here in general, well.

[ He takes a sip of the drink, then looks at Ivy. ]

It's just nice to have that pressure off for a while. How are you adjusting to all of this, by the way? I mean honestly, I thought I was going crazy but you're probably one of the most 'cut the shit' people I know, so...if you say we're really here, I'm gonna feel a little better.

Oh, I think we're definitely here.

[And she's probably calmer than she should be,but she holds up one of Evie's brochures.]

It's insane, but part of me is almost looking forward to the vacation from Mother. Though knowing my luck, she'd probably show up here to ruin that anyway.

[She places her glass down on the table and drums her fingers against it lightly.]

But I'm glad you're here. I don't want her here, but I don't want to be completely alone either.

Honestly? Me either. I saw your name pop up and have to admit, I let out a breath of relief. Especially because I'm pretty sure I have you figured out, Ivy Belfry.

[ There's a sly smirk on his lips as he take a sip of his drink. ]

[Oh, those totally are feelings of pride at a job well done in getting under his skin, not anything else, what are you talking about. It's always nice to have someone happy to see you.

Still, she smirks a bit as she leans back in her seat, holding up her glass as she goes to take a sip.]

Do you? What have you figured out, Henry Mills?

You care. You care more than you let on. I figured it out on Halloween.

[ And maybe that makes him care since Jacinda is so...whatever she is. Up and down, hot and cold. ]

Neither of those are questions she should be asking. She already knows she shouldn't. But the fact that Henry cares is something that's ... unsettling, and doesn't give her that sick feeling of victory that she thinks that she should. Seducing Ella's cursed husband out from under her cursed nose was just supposed to be for fun, a way to keep the curse from breaking.

But without the Ella here to see it, without the excuse of maintaining a curse, she shouldn't still like that he cares.

She glances away for a moment, before sitting up a little more and finishing her drink.]

I'd hope not. I do have a reputation to protect.

[A beat.]

Or a reputation to start. It's weird, being in a place where no one knows enough to hate you.

Hey.

[ Henry's voice is gentle when he speaks up, and he nearly reaches out to cover her hand with his but stops himself. ]

No one should hate you. I don't. I mean, I know I don't count for a lot, but. The important thing is this is a totally different place. And so far, no Victoria hanging over your shoulder, right? You don't have to worry about her, and even if she does show up, what can she do here?

[He would hate her, if he knew that he really was cursed. She knows that there's no salvaging this relationship when the curse breaks and Henry learns the truth. But there's still something that comes with the fact that he's trying to reach out to her all the same.

He did try once, before all this began. There's no reason to believe he wouldn't try again, even cursed.]

Oh, I'm sure she would find a way to let me know her disappointment. But you're right. She isn't here. I suppose that is something to look forward to.

[a beat as she points her glass in his direction, but doesn't move the hand under his maintaining that contact as best she can.]

And no babysitting.

[ Hey, his mom was totally evil and he stuck with her. Cursed or no, people deserve second chances. He'll always believe that. Now he does squeeze her hand, smiling a little. ]

See? Now you're looking on the bright side. You're gonna be okay, Ivy. Here and back home.

[ He still gives hope speeches. They're just more reality-based these days. ]

[They're annoyingly cheerful and Ivy doesn't know how he does it. It's hard to be hopeful when you have a mother that seems to have lived to cut you down.]

I'll take your word for it. But right now? I think I need another drink.

I'll get it, don't move.

[ He does get up, head to the bar and come back with two more drinks. ]

What floor did you pick a room on, by the way? I guess I have to believe the rumors that I was here before because there's a room right next to Roni's, but uh. I'd kind of like to get away from...that. But not be totally alone, you know?

[She nods as she reaches for her fresh drink.]

Ninth floor. I like a view, even if it's a view of nothing.

[She's not afraid of the stairs.]

I'm pretty sure there's an empty room next to mine, if you want it.

[ He's a little surprised by the offer but then nods slowly. ]

Yeah. Yeah, sure. [ He realizes then that it seems like he was fishing for that when he wasn't. Better to just...not say anything about it and let it go, probably. ]

This place can be dangerous, apparently. Maybe if we stick together we have less of a chance of dying. Which is another thing that happens to people a lot here, from what I've heard.
