Usually this is exactly what we do with bigger changes, but the thing about the activity check in particular was that we quite honestly and plainly underestimated the impact of the alterations we made, and the extent to which many members actually wanted further changes to our AC rules.

That much said about this particular case aside though, we will definitely be keeping this in mind and try to gauge the need for community discussion better the next time it becomes necessary, so thank you for your feedback, and thank you for bringing this to our attention!
