I. Second Time's The Charm This... this looks awfully familiar, and... familiar in an awful way. Look around all you like, it won't change, it won't go away. You are in Wonderland. No, worse: You're back in Wonderland. Just when everything was nice and comfortable at home, or-- or wasn't it? Maybe you're happy to be here again. Hey, no judgement, free room and board is nothing to scoff at! Blessing or curse, that's really up to you; all you know for sure is that, apparently, you're here to stay. II. What will you children do next? It's time for another wonderful event in Wonderland! For its duration characters will suddenly find themselves ten years older or younger. This can be physically, mentally, or both, i.e., if your character is 20 years old right now, they may become 10 physically but still have the mind and memories of their 20-year-old self, or they may revert to the mentality of their 10-year-old self and lose all the memories they have of being older. Characters over 200 years old may even age by a century, as a decade isn't that long for them. III. Through The Looking-Glass What an extraordinary day! All of Wonderland's mirrors-- just the things, not the capital Mirrors, not the ones like you --are suddenly shattered! Shards on the floor as far as the eye can see, and empty frames that are just begging to be stepped through! Oh, but you should really stay on your side unless the Queen of Hearts orders it otherwise. Or should you? Who's to say she wouldn't want you to investigate? Go ahead, go on, explore the real side for a change! Or... stay put right where you are, and see who comes to visit. It's really up to you. IV. Wildcard Play out your character's arrival. Celebrate their anniversary. Choose a different event to experience. Do anything and everything you like! |
freya mikaelson | the originals | circa 218, let me know if you don't want spoilers
omg freya and i am good with all the spoilers :D please let me know if this works?
If you're looking for Kol, I'm pretty sure he's out. [Unless he and Davina had come back from whatever they were doing that Cami refuses to think too much about so long as her friend is still happy. Regardless, she isn't a familiar face for Cami, so she offers a smile as she steps over.] Are you new around here? I mean, this mansion is pretty huge--impossibly huge, actually--but I don't think I've seen you before.
[And Cami keeps a pretty good eye on the network, not to mention that she works at the bar, one of the more popular spots in Wonderland.]
Either way, I'm Cami.
yep, this is perfect!
Cami was.
She knows of her, the woman that Klaus was attached to. Finn had developed something of an infatuation with her himself, and while Freya didn't know her well enough to understand it, she had at least appreciated that her brother had something that he could grow attached to. It was a thing she cared about, before he decided that anything was expendable in terms of achieving his end goal.
Now she's simply curious, wanting to know if this would provide her with any leverage.]
I am, actually. Very new.
[She takes a step forward and her face brightens with a smile, testing the waters as she extends a hand.]
I'm afraid I simply got turned around. My name is Freya.
[And with that, she will wait and see if she's recognized or not.]
yay :D
Have you gotten the whole "Welcome to Wonderland" spiel? It can get pretty crazy. [Spoken from experience.] I don't know what kind of place you come from, but there isn't a lot that can prepare you for the things that happen here.
sorry this is so late
[She turns back to her with a small smile.]
Whatever this place is, I think I'll be able to manage just fine.
Re: sorry this is so late

[Not that Freya is a very recent convert to the ways of magic and vampires and werewolves, but she can at least sympathize with Cami's predicament. It's a complicated one to say the least, but from what she knows of her, the woman at least manages to navigate it with grace.]
At least it sounds like it's hardly boring.
no subject
Today, he's found a few books to occupy himself with. Entries on magic are of particular interest, since Klaus has managed to find some information even he'd been unaware of.
A new comer roams through the stacks, catching his attention. He watches her from his peripheral before commenting on her presence, never once looking up. ]
Newly arrived? [ There's a casual page turn on his part. He's emulating his older brother here. ]
no subject
That, however, is not meant to be, so she simply tries to be as pleasant as possible, so that the conversation does not dally longer than it has to. It's hard, being pleasant to the man who had just murdered her father right in front of her, but she doesn't have a choice.
She did it with Dahlia for a thousand years, surely she could do it with Klaus as well.]
Yes, unfortunately. I've been told this place receives them often.
no subject
So often I wonder if there's any sort of capacity limit in place. I suppose it can be considered a blessing that people tend to disappear just as often as they arrive.
[ If only the people who disappeared were the ones who have been constant thorns in his side. ]
My name is Klaus. You'll find there's no way to predict the length of your stay, nor of when exactly you'll be able to return. [ There's a hint of annoyance laced through is words. Nothing he hates more than being at the whim of an unknown entity. ]
no subject
[Though her voice is quiet she knows it won't be quiet enough for him not to hear her. She pauses for a moment, before deciding to opt for a story that allows her distance but doesn't force her to play a complete fool.]
I know who you are. I'm a member of the Tremé Coven.
[Not a complete lie, given Josephine's acceptance of her after dealing with Eva Sinclair. There's a pause for a moment, almost as though if she's debating whether she should give her name or not, but at least it will give her an attempt to gauge how much her family knows about her at this point.]
My name is Freya.
no subject
Then his eyebrows raise just a hair. ]
I see. [ His voice shows nothing of his burning curiosity and his immediate distrust. It's instinctual, to not give this stranger the benefit of a doubt. Especially if she's a witch. ] I had a sibling named Freya, long ago. Never knew her myself.
That's an unusual name for a New Orleans witch. Were you born there?
no subject
[She doesn't give anything in response to his sister having the same name. As far as Freya is concerned, he doesn't get the chance to know her now.]
I hear she isn't very fond of your family.
no subject
Elijah doesn't recognize her when they pass in the hallway, but he gives her a curt nod. A greeting for a stranger. They don't talk that day though. Elijah carries on with his day and tries to steer clear of people if at all possible. He doesn't trust himself with this many heartbeats in one confined space. Especially with all the threats made to his family by a specific hunter turned obnoxious demon.
He does however notice her in the kitchen when he enters. He hesitates though and almost considers fleeing. He holds though and tries to muster up a smile. Though not very big. It's difficult to that these days. ] Pantry'll give you anything you'd like.
no subject
She glances over with a small, teasing smile at the suggestion, before glancing back towards the door curiously.]
Is it magic or does it simply ... carry an abundance of everything?
spoilers fine! sorry about not recognizing you sis :c
The Wonderland gossip mill leaves a great deal to be desired, at times, but she likes to remain informed, even if she doesn't always actively participate.
She only briefly glances up when she hears someone else enter, having only a passing interest in seeing who it might be, but she's somewhat surprised to see that it's a face she doesn't recognize-- and yet there's something familiar about this girl all the same, something unsettling.]
You're new.
[It's a cool and careful observation, neither friendly nor hostile.]
if you would rather drop this and bounce this over to a musebox that's cool
A family she should have had. A family she was never going to get to have. Not if Klaus had his way.
Still, she plays dumb for now, glancing over with a small smile.]
Yes, I am. Just recently arrived, in fact.
app or i wont luv u anymore
A bit startled but he can work past it. ]
Alright - may I help you?
[ He doesn't exactly know what to expect - this familiar stranger hovering by his door. Kol's met a lot of people - and when he recognises one but can't place why, it makes him a bit nervous. Especially as a human. ]
Normally people just phone me.
[ Well, that meant he wasn't going out like he'd planned. Instead he steps to the side offering to let her in his room if she wants but not vocally inviting her in. Kol offers his sister a smile, friendly but not reaching his eyes. He's still too new to know all the people here, but if someone that knew him had been lingering without saying anything, it's probably not good. ]
i make no promises
Sorry. I just ... your name seemed familiar. I didn't mean to disturb you.
[She also can't help but be idly curious as to how much magic and power he has. Can he sense her? Or can she play innocent a little while longer?]
uvu u kno u wanna
[ Only a handful of people know where he roomed, and even less knew his true identity, so her words cause him only more suspicion and nervousness. The younger Mikaelson's gaze moves past her to Rebekah's room, trying to make a short decision of whether or not he should be calling her for help dealing with a possible enemy or protecting her from one... ]
I'm not at all disturbed, darling. [ That's hardly true but it's far more polite than the blunt questions he wishes to ask. He wants to reach out and offer to shake her hand, but if his suspicions are true that trick will be observed and possibly called out for what it really is - an attempt at a simple connection of power - a read on what and who she is. A tactic he's learned can be quite unpleasant if dealing with a demon. ]
Would you like to come in? The halls aren't too safe at the moment with Dean prancing about with a rabid trigger finger.
[So he uses a different trick, one he'd learned from Davina - reaching out with magic instead of a hand; whilst wonderland made it easier to channel the magic around them from such a place, even more perks arise. To any nonmagic user it may simply feel as though the static of the dry air from winter to spring is making itself known. To a magic user the feeling might be reminiscent to that of channeling another witch, the feel of extra magic at their finger tips. What he looks for is a push back instead of a dominant presence. But then, she would recognise a move so easily, her power making such a move almost automatic when it came to sensing him. ]
no subject
When she feels that tentative reaching out, her fingers move over her pendant for a moment, brushing her thumb against the back of it as she considers, before allowing him to feel just a fraction of her actual power, but still enough to make a point. Maybe even just enough to feel that family connection between them. Of all of her siblings, he's the only one who was never given the opportunity to judge her one way or another for who she really was.
Perhaps now was the time to test the waters.]
Dean?
[She plays confused at the mention, too new to really understand what's going on, even as she heard whispers of things on the new device she was given. She's not particularly frightened, as she can't die, but she can at least keep with the pretense if it keeps them from having the conversation they're about to have where everyone can see.]
If you don't mind. I wouldn't want to impose.
no subject
He was still rather new to magic, that was no secret so most of what he knew was secondhand experience, and theories. What he lacked in experience he made up for in everything he learned through other witches in his time - spending time traveling with witches, teaching them and learning from them. It didn't at all help that their bitch of a mother put him in a weaker witch so she could control him.
It takes him to find his words, not even sure what to think any more. She was powerful, she was also more than familiar. ]
Dean Winchester - he's a hunter... Turned serial killer... [ He leaves off the demon part, not exactly ready to explain demons as he tries to process what he's just felt. He's not normally one to offer help and advice but this was an entirely new situation. ]
It's no imposition.
[ He retreats further into his room, expecting her to follow, only waiting for his door to be closed before he speaks again in regards to what he'd felt. But even before that he waits to question her - first he plays whatever he had previously been listening to on his record player - something soft, background noise. ]
Who are you?
no subject
(Unless, of course, he forces her to be a threat. then it's another matter entirely.)]
My name is Freya.
[She leaves that there for now, trying to keep things civil and also fish out how much Esther had told him when she recruited him for her plans again.]
I can't remember if that's the name I used in 1914. It was so long ago, and the memories are a bit ... hazy.
[It's common for things that happen just on the crest of Dahlia's spell. The memories of her year of life get a little faded around the edges, the closer she gets to going to sleep again. She's sick of the limitations it puts on her life, but there's nothing she can do about it. Dahlia never gave her a choice in the first place.]
no subject
[ He repeats the name as if he's trying to decide how he feels about it. Stormy blue eyes linger on her for a moment before he busies himself with burning the herbs to cast a privacy spell. Just in case one of his siblings were being too nosey. ]
What's your family name?
[ That was an easy enough question to get his point across. He couldn't shake that feeling, so when she brings up 1914, he stills, even so far as to hold his breath for a long moment. ]
The party.
[ She had been kind to him, and he'd known she was a powerful witch... ] Freya... [ Perhaps that's an affirmation that she had used that name... or perhaps he was simply trying to find his footing. ]
And what is it you want from me? Once may possibly be coincidence but twice meeting me is not.
[ The suspicion is evident in his voice, and he feels no guilt for it. Whenever someone seeks him out, it's for something - never just to say hi. ]
If I've done you wrong - retaliation isn't in your best interest. There's a pretty little harvest witch next door that made it rather clear with me brother that she intends to protect me.
no subject
So she decides to answer both questions, even if it only seems like she's answering the one, but she'll wait until the privacy spell settles before she does.]
My family name is Mikaelson.
