Take your time I have all day [wynonna makes her way into the next stall but doesn't close it, if anyone else walks by she just waves. Nothing to see here boys]

[ doc sits there for a moment, before climbing on top of the bowl, brancing one foot on the toilet paper dispenser as he leans over the wall. he peers down at her sitting there. ]

If you're not going to use the facilities, then you should vacate them. There are likely men outside looking to use that toilet.

[middlefinger]

I could say the same to you. You're not exactly using the facilities yourself! [wynonna may be climbing up on the toliet herself. And then she grabs his hat from off his head and holds it menacingly over the water] Give me peacemaker or the hat gets it

[wildwest]

Hey! [ —too late, she already has his hat.

doc glowers at her unhappily. first a demon eats his original hat, now wynonna's threatening to drown his wonderland replacement. ]

You wouldn't dare.

[middlefinger]

You know I would [wynonna lets it drop for a moment before catching it again ] what's it going up be Henry?

[wildwest]

[ she could and she would — will if he doesn't surrender, and he knows it. she knows that he knows it.

with a sigh, doc relents. he drops back down to the floor and exits his stall, waltzing into hers. he pulls out peacemaker and holds it out. ] Hat?

[ go back on your word and drop it, and you will live to regret it, earp. (nevermind the fact that he could simply have the closets conjure up another one. the thought doesn't occur to him.) ]

[middlefinger]

[She doesn't drop it anyway, though there's a time when she might have. She's trying to be a bigger person these days. She placed the hat on for him, pressing the rim of it forward to tip it for him as she takes the peacemaker with her other hand]

It's been a pleasure doing business with you sir [and with that she gets off the toliet and pushes past him to finally exit the bathroom.

shout out to the men who were waiting for the woman to leave to piss]

[ oh hell no, missy. you're not getting away that easily. ] Wynonna! [ he dashes out after her, grabbing her by the elbow once he does catch up with her. ]

And just where is it that you think you're headed in such a hurry?

[middlefinger]

Out of the men's room, to start with.

[she came to get her gun back, which she has, she doesn't plan on spending the rest of her night in here ]

[wildwest]

That much was made clear.

[ he still has ahold of her elbow. loosely, but enough not to let her go. as if she has somewhere to run in this godforsaken place that he wouldn't be able to find her. because if she's right about whoever's in charge here being interested in them, because they're them, then it's in their best interest to stay together. ]

But I was more referring to where you plan on going once you leave the bar. This ain't Purgatory.

[middlefinger]

[For all the baggage that comes with Purgatory for Wynonna it was at least familiar. She more or less knew what to expect. Here was unknown. Doc was the only familiar touchstone for her and while part of her wants to cling to that she also is still hurt by his recent across.

If doc was on Facebook their relationship status would be it's complicated]

I hadn't figured it out yet. I think we can just claim our own rooms.

[wildwest]

Perhaps it would be prudent to go looking together.

[ for separate rooms, just in close proximity to one another. for revenant, covert black badge ops reasons, of course. ]

[middlefinger]

Are you sure that's wise? You might have to actually respond to me if you're close by.

[she can't help the jab -- she hates when he keeps secrets and hides from her and it's all too easy for her to hold a grudge.]

[wildwest]

[ doc shoots her a look, a downright sour one, and gives her elbow a good tug, hauling her towards the bar's exit. ]

Did it ever occur to you that I might'a had a very good reason for ignoring you?

[middlefinger]

[wynonna looks thoroughly annoyed as he yanks her towards the exit.]

How would I know when you won't talk to me?

[she could probably give him more credit, to start with, but wynonna tends to take things very personally and she's already in a not great place these days.]

If I talk, you'll spill. [ he's got her out into the hall now, pulled off to the side and out of the way of the bar's patrons as they come and go. ] Tough pill to swallow with that big mouth of yours, but it doesn't make it any less true.

[middlefinger]

[she huffs lightly, blowing a strand of hair out of her face. sometimes he's so annoying she doesn't know whether to kiss him or punch him but in this moment she doesn't do either one of them. maybe because deep down, she knows it's true, she isn't known for her ability to be discrete]

You don't have to be such a jerk about it. [a pause.] Who would I even tell here?

[wildwest]

Not here, [ he points to the ground for emphasis ] there! [ and then gestures away from them, as if he possesses the ability of pinpointing where exactly purgatory is in relation to wonderland. (he doesn't.) ]

You would've done something, if you didn't say something, to let Lucado in on my little operation. She finds out what Rosita and I are doin' down in that basement and we're all done for. And I didn't go out of my way to pressure her into laying off you and yours, only to have you blow the whole damn thing up in our faces.

[middlefinger]

[well that has wynonna reeling a little. who the hell is rosita? and what exactly was he doing? and she had no idea he talked to lucado -- though it does explain some things. still, it's a lot to process at once. wynonna presses her lips together.]

And what is it exactly that you're doing for him?

[wildwest]

The serum.

[ finally, he relents, looking mighty defeated as he does so. and the way he says it makes it clear that he wouldn't be telling her this were they still in purgatory. but doc's been listening, and he's heard that people don't remember this place when they go back. so what's the harm in telling her now? no black badge brass to string them up by their ankles, and even if lucado did — heaven forbid — show up here, there wouldn't be a damned thing she could do about an operation going on in a world she could not touch. ]

For Dolls. The one that lets him retain his human form. Rosita's a biochemist. [ 2 + 2 = 4. figure the rest out, earp. he's painted you a clear enough picture. ]

[middlefinger]

[any hardness that might have still been in wynonna's face softens now. her lips form a small o as she breathes in her surprise. it's not lost on her that he wouldn't tell her this normally but at least now she understands why. she slides her arm so he's no longer holding her shoulder but instead her hand as her fingers thread through his.

it's a welcome shock of contact.]

You're trying to save him.

[no, she doesn't get that doc is doing this for her, not dolla. she's a little dense.]

Yes.

[ there. now she knows. never you mind that he has zero intentions of bringing dolls back to purgatory (now that would just be plum stupid), but he isn't about to let the man roam around out there, monstrous and out of his mind. he needs this, and if black badge is going to deny him, doc's gonna supply him.

it's the least he can do.

[she knows dolls and doc don't exactly get along but they're both important to her in ways she hasn't completely sorted out for herself beyond she knows that they're her people and she'll do whatever it takes to keep them at her side.

it breaks her heart to think dolls is out there alone. that he can't return to them. it isn't fair. it isn't right. she couldn't save willa, she can't save dolls --

it's too much when she bears to think about it too long.

so she tries not to.]

Thank you. [Her voice is quieter now, more intimate. She's glad that Doc is here, that she doesn't have to be in this new place all by herself.

She doesn't want to be alone anymore.]

[ doc gives her fingers a gentle squeeze, reaching up with his others to tip his hat. ]

Least I could do, and something that had to be done without Earp involvement.

Understood. [there's a beat and then.]
