[Camera, lights, action!

A network full of people? An audience that was listening in? Risette loved that stuff. Kujikawa Rise could deal with this even if she were thrust into some place that looked like something out of a movie set.

Someone could hear her message and respond in kind. It was more interactive that most of her performances at home where she just sang for her fans or for the audience. But that was an idea. She'd have to somehow get people more engaged somehow so her show would mean more to them. She could talk to her agency about that, switching things up.

The life of an idol. So much to take care of. Magazine photoshoots and modeling, promotions, interviews on TV or the radio, parties and afterparties. Things were never easy, were they?]

So we're stuck here? I don't see how much of a big deal it is. A girl could use a break now and then.

[Rise smiled brightly for the camera on the communicator that she placed on the piano. She was sitting at that piano in the Music Room, fingers gliding over the white keys.]

That doesn't mean I don't want to go home though. Someone's gotta go back and get some work done. I guess that just means I have to wait it out for now?

[Well Souji wasn't expecting to hear that voice over the network.]

Rise. [His voice is warm, apparently so.] Where are you?

[And that is also not a voice Rise had been expecting to hear. She was slightly disappointed in herself because she should've known to scope him out since she was famous for being and was just a bit boundary-challenged when it came to Souji.]

Souji-senpai! You're here too?

[Of course he was. But Rise was just too excited to see him.]

I'm in this room with a piano and a ton of other instruments! Are you going to come see me?

Yeah, I'm coming. Stay there for a couple minutes.

[He just needs to wash his hands, ditch the apron, and head downstairs. It takes him a few minutes to locate the music room, but he finds it and her as well. As he steps through the doorway, he's bracing for the onslaught.]

[And Souji was right to predict that the minute--no, the second--he stepped into the room, he already had a Rise hanging off of him.]

Hi, Senpai! So you're finally here to propose to me?

[Rise gave him her brightest smile, but it wasn't one of her idol smiles. It was genuine and really showed him that she cared for him, even if she were teasing him.]

...Well, it wasn't my plan just then.

[Souji looks down at her where she's standing beside him.]

Did you just get here?

[And why wasn't it in his plan? It should've been! But Rise could wait for when Souji would be proposing to her. Soon, she hoped!]

Long enough to get an idea of what's going on! Kanzeon's helping me to check everything out, but no exits so far.

[Sounds about right. He nods and moves further into the room so he can sit down on one end of the piano bench.]

What else have you noticed?

[Rise happily sat down next to Souji, but not too close. Even she sometimes, if boundary-challenged, knew when things were serious and when to give him space.]

Besides the something up with the other side of the mirrors? And there's about a hundred people here? Not that much more.

I wish I could see past those walls though. I keep having Kanzeon zoom in but they get farther away even when I get really close.

[Kanji definitely sounds surprised to hear from her-- but for as lousy as Wonderland can be, he can't say he hates the idea of another familiar face. He and Souji have both been missing their friends pretty badly, with the latter having been here years longer than Kanji himself.]

Hey, you okay? Not hurt or anything, are you?

[Rise brightened up immediately and took the communicator in both of her hands now. How exciting! She also didn't expect to hear from Kanji as well. This day was just getting better and better!]

I'm all right! Hey, I should be asking that of you first! Everyone says this place is pretty bad. Is that really true?

[Consider him relieved that he was greeted with Kanji-kun and not Moronji.]

Eh, I've been here long enough that I get by-- it ain't exactly a vacation spot, though. It's not always terrible, but... definitely ain't safe. Sometimes people show up hurt, though. Glad you're alright.

[She'll be saving Moronji for later! There is always a time and place for that.]

... And wow, you do still look the same like you do at home. Same with Souji-senpai. The whole time doesn't work right concept here is really a real thing. How long have you been here?

[And least there's a clinic here to help out the people who do turn up that way, but it's always one of the first things Kanji asks-- just to be sure.]

Been about a year for me, so I probably wouldn't look that different even if time was movin', but for senpai...

[He exhales a little.]

Been like five years for him. Maybe six. Long-ass time.

[Years? That is way too long. To be in her twenties? A proper adult? She hadn't even noticed that Kanji and Souji were gone from home at all.]

Why are you guys being kept here for so long? What if you want to go home?

Don't think it matters much what we want. We both definitely wanna get home, but...

[Rise had the same thought. They were both still here.]

[Rise had done some reconnaissance when she arrived, but she couldn't find where their captors were hiding.]

[An unfamiliar face and voice, but Rise was more than happy to talk to anyone.]
