Tell me where you are now and I'll escort you.
[Mostly he just figures that a meeting at the bar, surrounded by others, might not be what either of them prefer.]

The roof.
[ a moment later, she finds herself typing out: ] Is it really you? [ despite knowing that given his words, she'll see for herself soon enough. ]

The words 'The roof.' don't give it away just yet, but moments later...]
The one and only.
[For better or worse. Either way, he makes his way up to the roof, cold gun in the holster by his side, looking much like always as he exits onto the roof, looking around and then heading over to her right away.]
Been a while.
[Ever so casual.]

she's feeling anything but casual; the last time she'd seen him, he'd been sacrificing himself for mick, for all their freedom. ]

Sara?
[It's been nearly half a year since the last time Rip laid eyes on her; half a year since she left her quarters on the Waverider, swallowing back all the pain and grief and fear she felt in the wake of Laurel's death, and her confession that she couldn't continue on without her sister's strength.
Of course, Rip has no way yet to know if it's been that long for her, or if Sara's even experienced that moment at all--or if she even knows him. It's one of the many pains Wonderland puts their merry number through, these timeline differences, but even knowing this, it doesn't stop Rip from changing direction and walking towards where Sara stands.]
no subject
it hasn't been half a year for her. it's been a mere few hours since she's last seen rip hunter, since he'd shot her in the chest. for a moment, she tenses — but there's none of the distrust and dislike she's come to expect in his gaze. there's warmth, some pleasure even.
she rolls her shoulders, forcing the tension that's crept into them out again. ] Rip. [ if there's a questioning note in her voice, who can blame her? it's a greeting, for the most part. ]
no subject
And his own spark of gladness to see her. There are few Rip would ever wish this world upon, and certainly not those he holds dear as family or friend, but...he cannot deny that if they must be here, he would prefer to have her with them.]
Yeah. [Short, utterly at ease, and Rip crouches down to set aside the things he's carrying. He's armed; he's always armed these days, having been caught off guard by one too many surprises, but he makes no move to go for the gun kept in the holster at his side. He's got utterly no reason to, at least in his mind, and once his hands are free he takes a few steps closer to her.]
How long have you been here? None of the others mentioned your arrival, so I'm assuming it must have been fairly recent. [Either that, or she's kept herself hidden. Makes sense enough, given that she no doubt showed up like the rest of them: suddenly and in some impossible way.]
no subject
it's a good thing he doesn't reach for the gun, even as relaxed as sara might look right now, shoulders loose, the impression is deceptive. he's only just shot her, killed her. she doesn't tense when he steps closer, but she's ready for movement, weight on the balls of her feet. it could be a ruse. ]
A day. What's the last thing you remember? [ timetravel is her life now. it's been his for even longer. it stands to reason there could be differences. ]
no subject
Of course, that does little to make his answer easier; Rip glances down, his hands coming to rest on his hips now that they're close enough to have a normal conversation.]
The last thing I remember. [Oh, it's not that he needs to strain to think; far from it. Even now, so many months later, Rip can remember the conversation perfectly. But if Sara has yet to live it, then revealing too much could inform her of a tragedy she hasn't yet faced, far before she should have to.]
You and I were having a conversation when Gideon informed us we were ready to make the time jump to Saint-Lo, France, in 1944. [Rip doubts Sara would mistake the time for anything else if she does remember it. And if she doesn't, then Rip has hopefully given away nothing to make her suspicious.] You might have been pulled from a completely different time; in fact, given the way things go around here, I suspect it's likely.
no subject
how could she forget?
her lips press together for a long moment before she responds. ] You suspect right. I'm from months after that. [ he'd tried hard not to give too much away; she can appreciate that, or she could if recollection didn't still hurt. her sister is dead, and sara hadn't been there.
sara still hasn't killed the man who did it, either. she wants to, the urge thrumming under her skin and making her hands curl into fists before she forces them open again. ]

So what are the odds that this is all a mass delusion? Or that we're all dead and this is Limbo?

When you say you've died before, do you mean "died on the table and revived" or...
[ Cause Bobbi has definitely learned there are things beyond science around here. ]
