+ SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER TDM +
It's Chinese for 'Japan.'

Prompt A: Serious Event
A memory is displayed. It's yours, the most traumatic of your life whether it was a terrifying clown encounter or the death of someone you love. It's on a loop for everyone to see. You can enter the memory and take your own place, but no matter how hard you try, you cannot alter the outcome. You're forced to try in vain to change what happened or watch until you decide it's too much and walk away. If you can.
Prompt B: Lighter Event
Welcome to Storybrooke.
You've lived in a quiet town in Maine for as long as you can remember. You are a fishmonger or a diner employee, perhaps you work at the hospital. Whatever you do and whoever you are, it's not the real you. You are cursed and you know no other life outside of Storybrooke.
When the curse breaks (either from True Love's Kiss or, in a more TDM friendly, handwaved way), you have two sets of memories: who you were, and who you are. Do you choose to accept all that you were cursed to believe, or would you rather slip back into your old life? The choice is yours.
Prompt C: ediS rorriM
Use this prompt to test out your mirrors. Are they loyal to the new White Queen or do they think she's too good to be true? Do they long to cross over or spend their days tormenting reals? Whatever the scenario, know that the Queen is watching, and let that guide you - or not.
Prompt D: Choices
Any scenario goes! Thread out your character's arrival, have them act like a long-established resident, let our past events inspire your scene, or write up literally any Wonderland-based scenario you feel like playing with.

Test drive memes go up every other month. Please note that any threads made as part of the test drive meme don't count towards your activity check, and they can't be used as samples for any future applications. Thank you for understanding, and have fun!

I kind of feel like I ought to apologize for this
Wither way, it's absolutely satisfying to watch her crumple down and genuflect to him. Most people here need to be taught such manners.
"One can't help but wonder what you might've done to make me so cross." He speaks clearly from down the hall, arms crossed. "Especially given how much we care for one another." At least, that's the story they've told him, and the pantomimes he's performed to divert suspicions from his behavior. He's already killed a woman to preserve that lie. Has she known all along?
Re: I kind of feel like I ought to apologize for this
Who knew Jemma'd be relieved the moment starts there, and not with the discussion of her shooting his digital father. The thought of it makes her angrier. How dare she be held accountable to shooting the equivalent of an NPC in a video game. Alastair Fitz was nothing, not her, not like Fitz insists.
Once upon a time, Jemma was unable to do what she does now: baldly lie to him. "It was a problem with some computer code. You weren't happy with how I fixed it. You didn't want it deleted."
no subject
"Is that so? Bit of an overreaction, don't you think? I mustn't have been in my right mind at the time."
It doesn't work with what he knows about the Fitz from their world. Their Fitz is weak, simpering. They trample over him to meet their ends. He doesn't seem to have any such goals for himself.
no subject
"You were," Jemma clears her throat. It's tight, and dry, like she's just dug herself out of her own grave again, or digging her way back in. "You were very attached to the program. Like those people who got all upset when Microsoft removed Minesweeper after Windows 8."
Jemma stops herself. She's babbling. Her Fitz would know what that means, but this one? Who knows what he knows.
no subject
She's absolutely babbling, but he's grown accustomed to that too. Everyone here has some kind of insipid nonsense that devours their idle time. It makes them think they matter somehow.
no subject
"I'm too wired right now," it's possibly a bigger lie than the computer code that made up Alastair Fitz. "But I'll take that cup of tea."
no subject
"You must be. We'll head for the tea room. I'll get you a nice chamomile and you can tell me about what happened next. I can't imagine you'd let me go round shooting people for very long. It must be breaking at least a dozen protocols."
no subject
She knows what he can and will do. There are days Jemma wonders if the Fitz she knew never came out of the Framework. The other question is would she let anyone punish him for what happened in the Framework?
Is it wrong of her to say no?
"I don't know about that." Jemma tries to sound like this is all a misunderstanding. "I let you shoot me."
Though up until the moment it happened, she didn't believe he could.
no subject
"But you appear to have healed up well enough. You've not even a limp."
no subject
She manages to muster up a strained smile, and tell the absolute truth. "It's like it wasn't even real."
no subject
"Is there scarring?"
no subject
She'd be more reassured if she had something with which to defend herself.
"None at all. I'd wager you couldn't find the slightest hint something ever happened." If only her mind was equally as unscarred.
no subject
He's 'back' because this land is lawless, He's here to lay the groundwork necessary for Ophelia's arrival. She'll be so impressed with him when she sees his infrastructure. Hydra has its tentacles coiled throughout the system here, as it should be.
no subject
But this one wouldn't mind a dead cat in the lab. He probably would've killed the cat.
Jemma has to focus on the current problem: she cannot sleep in the same room as this man. She cannot trust whatever food or drink is put in front of her either.
What she needs, is an ally.
