+ SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER TDM +
It's Chinese for 'Japan.'

Prompt A: Serious Event
A memory is displayed. It's yours, the most traumatic of your life whether it was a terrifying clown encounter or the death of someone you love. It's on a loop for everyone to see. You can enter the memory and take your own place, but no matter how hard you try, you cannot alter the outcome. You're forced to try in vain to change what happened or watch until you decide it's too much and walk away. If you can.
Prompt B: Lighter Event
Welcome to Storybrooke.
You've lived in a quiet town in Maine for as long as you can remember. You are a fishmonger or a diner employee, perhaps you work at the hospital. Whatever you do and whoever you are, it's not the real you. You are cursed and you know no other life outside of Storybrooke.
When the curse breaks (either from True Love's Kiss or, in a more TDM friendly, handwaved way), you have two sets of memories: who you were, and who you are. Do you choose to accept all that you were cursed to believe, or would you rather slip back into your old life? The choice is yours.
Prompt C: ediS rorriM
Use this prompt to test out your mirrors. Are they loyal to the new White Queen or do they think she's too good to be true? Do they long to cross over or spend their days tormenting reals? Whatever the scenario, know that the Queen is watching, and let that guide you - or not.
Prompt D: Choices
Any scenario goes! Thread out your character's arrival, have them act like a long-established resident, let our past events inspire your scene, or write up literally any Wonderland-based scenario you feel like playing with.

Test drive memes go up every other month. Please note that any threads made as part of the test drive meme don't count towards your activity check, and they can't be used as samples for any future applications. Thank you for understanding, and have fun!

You do have to admit you have a certain flair for arranging the grass, Jules. You sure you didn't get into the wrong profession? You could totally rom-com your way into any situation at a flower shop.

[ She smiles dreamily. ]

[ Still, he picks a flower and puts it behind his ear. ]
I'm pretty sure here at least, you won't have to worry about that. You could keep being a florist if you wanted, even outside of the event. You can do anything you want. What has that little heart of yours always desired, other than sweet justice?
no subject
[ She pouts a little, considering his question as she thoughtfully arranges the remaining flowers. ]
I guess I don't really know. The only other things I guess I've really gotten into is when I go undercover... [ And we all know how wiggy she gets when she goes undercover. No one wants that. ] Why did you decide to open a bar?
no subject
[ That was long-winded, but his point stands. Life and love are not romance movies where everything goes right by the 90-minute mark. ]
The bar idea was because everyone could for sure stand to loosen up a little. I mean, there are bars but every time I went someone was crying into a beer, and there's a kind of bar nightclub combo but it feels like the kind of place you'd meet a blind date have one drink, then leave. The party slide that launches you into the ocean and happens to be connected to a floating bar idea just seemed like a fun way to get people outside in the summer.
[ Plus, lots of swimsuits. A bonus. ]

[ This is the girl who showed up to meet her college boyfriend in a train station at the exact time they agreed to eight years before and then hired Gus to track him down when he didn't show. Of course she wants to believe everything goes right at that 90-minute mark. ]
I'm not saying it was a bad idea, just... [ 'Unexpected' is not the word. Of course Shawn wanted swimsuits. ] You've bounced around a lot of jobs. I knew I was going to join the police since college. I hadn't even thought about other options so I have no idea where to start.
no subject
[ He tries to think about it, then perks up. ]
Oh! Hey, you like to dance like a maniac. Maybe that's something.
no subject
[ Come on you know that happened. ]
What, you think I should offer dance classes? That... Is a surprisingly not terrible idea.
no subject
Not all my ideas are bad and look, if midday naps work in other countries, why not ours, Jules? As the kids here are telling me, you have to be more 'woke' to the real issues.
[ They probably weren't talking about naps, but. ]
Sure, there you go. Dance classes or yoga or that weird karate that's somehow also dancing?
no subject
[ She shrugs thoughtfully, fiddling with her flowers as she considers his point. ]
I don't know if Wonderland really needs a dance troupe, but it's better than nothing. And probably way more useful than flower arrangements. I mean, really, what am I going to do with this? Make "Sorry You Died and Glad You're Back" bouquets? [ She holds up one of the flowers. ] You're the psychic. What are your vibes telling you I should do?
