Prompt A: Serious Event

Everybody in the mansion has lost their heart for a day. This doesn't render them totally emotionless, but any emotion that is not self-involved becomes very, very difficult to express. Characters become selfish and spiteful, caring only for what they want, and not for anyone else's wishes. They will hurt others if it suits them, finding it difficult or too bothersome to decide between right and wrong, and everyone is just that little bit more immature, prone to tantrums and sulking when they don't get their way.

Characters will not be aware that their behavior has changed, but they will feel an aching emptiness inside, like something is missing.

Prompt B: Lighter Event

For this event, characters have turned into an animal that best represents their personality. Sort of like a Patronus from Harry Potter, but they have actually turned into the animal. Whether or not they can talk is up to the player, but they will exhibit all instincts and habits of that animal. Feel free to play that part out or the aftermath of having been, for example, a sloth for 2 days.

Prompt C: ediS rorriM

Use this prompt to test out your mirrors. Are they loyal to the new White Queen or do they think she's too good to be true? Do they long to cross over or spend their days tormenting reals? Are they disturbed by the idea that the Queen is literally black and grey and not in color? Whatever the scenario, know that the Queen is watching, and let that guide you - or not.

Prompt D: Choices

Any scenario goes! Thread out your character's arrival, have them act like a long-established resident, let our past events inspire your scene, or write up literally any Wonderland-based scenario you feel like playing with.

I know a Fury. Can't say I've ever caught him watching cat videos, though.

[Could be a coincidence, but the name gets Natasha's attention and the fact that the woman asking the question is wearing a pretty distinctive suit makes her think it's worth following up.

Even if it's not her Fury she's talking about, there could easily be a relationship.

Cross universe copies, something like that.]

I guess Goose technically isn't a cat, but he looks like one? Fury was pretty sure he was one for a long time.

[And then tentacles happened.]

How do you know your Fury?

[That doesn't clarify a great deal, does it. Natasha can't say she loves being the one to divulge information. Her chin comes up slightly, and there's a pause.

The moment resolves in a shrug then:]

We worked together at SHIELD for a while.

[captain_marvel]

[She tips her head to the side, almost as though she's sizing Natasha up before commenting, curiously.]

Guess he upgraded from that Coulson guy.

[All the confirmation Natasha needed. Natasha's used to being judged.

Most people underestimate her.

This time, she's not so sure.]

Coulson and I had somewhat different areas of specialization. [Natasha clasps her hands behind her back, almost an at ease.] Natasha Romanoff.

Carol Danvers.

[She doesn't expect Natasha to know the name, but she doubts Fury shared much. They were trying to keep the Skrulls off the radar.

... At the same time, there was all that property damage at Project Pegasus.]

I worked with them a long time ago. Coulson was the new guy then.

Must have been a while then. [Brows raised with the obvious question.] Just thought you'd check in on him after all this time?

[captain_marvel]

Not really. He paged me.

[Which was only supposed to be an in case of emergency thing. You know, like being kidnapped to a pocket dimension. Though that seems to be just Carol at this point.]

Paged you.

[Natasha repeats. That raises so many questions. She's not even quite sure where to start with that.]

Unfortunately, he's a long way from Wonderland.

I was working with a two way pager. I considerably upgraded it but you guys definitely didn't have cutting edge communication tech the last time I was there.

[But that isn't the important thing.]

Yeah, I'm starting to get that. Pocket dimension, right?

[Natasha's lips twitch at that. Funny because she was just thinking the same thing about using a pager to get in touch with the director of SHIELD.

Former director.]

Something like that, yeah. So people who know more about these things than I do tell me at least.

[captain_marvel]

[Look, they're trying to stay off the radar of some of the higher star systems. Sometimes the simpler methods are harder to trace.]

How long have you been stuck here?

A lot longer than I'd like to have been. If you're looking for an update from home, that gets complicated.

[Because just when are they talking about at home.]

Some people are just lucky like that.

I haven't been on Earth since 1995, but it's 2019 for me. There's a lot of ground to cover but it seems like we've got time.

[There's a pause as she considers the space.]

What do you guys do around here?

[outstandingbalance]

That varies. Sometimes it's fighting monsters and facing off against monsters and psychic manifestations of your fears... other times, I've been tending bar.

[Got to fill that free time somehow.]

[captain_marvel]

So there is a bar. Good to know.

[She's been relearning the things she loved on Earth and drinking had been one of them.]

Karaoke?

[outstandingbalance]

Not currently, but it wouldn't be hard to arrange if there was enough demand.

[Natasha let's the conversation go where it will, seeing what Carol puts out.]

Have a go to song?

Still figuring that out.

[As in, she's trying to remember it. But Natasha doesn't have to know that.]

But it's fun. I'd recommend it.

I'll keep that in mind next time we need to break up the boredom.

[Natasha accepts constructive criticism.]

I notice you still haven't filled out the details of how you know Fury.

[captain_marvel]

I didn't realize you were waiting on them.

[But that's more of a tease than an actual evasion, because she goes right into it:]

I crashed through the roof of a Blockbuster back in '95. SHIELD sent him to check it out and they caught me while I was trying to hot-wire Kree tech through whatever was available at Radio Shack.

That does sound like 1995.

[It also sounds like a very abridged.]

And Kree are...?

[She exhales slowly, trying to figure out how to phrase this.]

You deal with any aliens while you were working for SHIELD?

[outstandingbalance]

Yeah. [Natasha crosses her arms over her chest. It's amazing how jaded she's become that she doesn't have to pretend to be nonchalant.] An Asguardian opened a portal in the sky over New York and let in a Chitauri army.

[captain_marvel]

Oooh. Oh.

[Wait. And Fury didn't call her for that? If he didn't call her for that then what was he calling her for?]

Okay, so the Kree are kind of like ... The Asgardian version of the Chituari. Violent and controlling but organized and unified. Strategic. It's complicated.

[Look. The Avengers had it under control.]

Sounds complicated. Guess aliens usually get complicated. It's a big universe.
