maki nishikino | love live!
[ It's a gorgeous day outside--the sky is so blue and the weather is a comfortable warm. That is about the only nice thing today. Considering she's apparently somehow been magically kidnapped(?????), Maki doesn't find herself terribly thrilled with anything beyond the weather.
True, the gardens are pretty. The flowers are all impeccably planted and well-grown, so clearly someone around here knows what they're doing. Were she anywhere else, she would be enjoying this scenery, but "Wonderland?" How is she supposed to be happy about that?
So here's a high school student in the garden, wandering through them, though the expression she wears is something akin to distaste. You'd almost think she didn't actually approve of the flowers. ]
music room;
[ Lucky enough to have happened across the music room by complete accident, it's completely empty but for her. Which, really, is perfect. Though she tosses a brief glance around the room, she heads very quickly to the beautiful piano sitting in the room.
If there's one thing that will make her feel more at home, it's music. Hearing it, playing it... Either is good, but playing is her preferred choice.
Maki takes a seat on the bench and takes a moment to accustom herself to this particular piano. Then it's just moments before her hands are on the keys, slender fingers dancing over the keys with a practised ease. Soon she's not even just playing, but she's singing, too. The song isn't a long one, but it's got this nostalgia to it... ]
network | text;
This is ridiculous.
Am I really expected to believe that there's a grinning, talking cat?
[ Maki, you believe in Santa... ]
music room!
It's kind of rare to hear someone else playing, so while he doesn't deliberately call attention to himself he does linger in the doorway, clarinet case in hand, listening to her song.]
no subject
Sitting up straighter, she purses her lips and simply stares at him for a moment. It's always a little embarrassing when someone walks in while she's playing, but at least he had the courtesy to be quiet in doing so. Unlike Honoka, who had applauded obnoxiously and burst in to talk to her immediately after. ]
Did you need the room?
[ For all she knows, there's a turn-based system for using the music room as opposed to first come, first serve. ]
It didn't seem like anyone else was going to use it.
no subject
O-Oh, no, um! I...I can come back. You had it first. I-I didn't mean to spy on you or anything. It doesn't get used a lot, so I...I was just surprised to see someone else here, that's all.
[He pauses, unsure if he wants to end on that note.]
You, uh...you play really well.
network;
And a magic realm with 4G isn't ridiculous?
no subject
I didn't say that part isn't.
It is. All of this is. I was only giving one example.
no subject
I believe the words you're looking for are, "On a scale of 1 to 10, how insane am I going and when do they dispense the meds?"
We're at a solid 4, by my estimate.
[He's lowballing the score to be nice.]
no subject
This is higher than a 4. It's a 7 at the very least.
[ Don't even try with the bullshit, sir. She has a decent understanding of the insanity scale, thank you. ]
An 8 if there are dragon-flies and bread-and-butter-flies.
[ She's remembering those correctly from the book, right? PRETTY SURE... ]
no subject
Try vodka. There's an endless supply and you'll either feel like a 4 midway through the bottle or you'll stop caring.
[Win/win.]
no subject
I'm fifteen.
[ Not that it seems likely that Wonderland has an age restriction on alcohol, but still... ]
Luckily, I don't think there's a story to any of this. Unless it was written by someone high, like the actual book...
[ Kind of ruined her own point with that last bit. ]
no subject
You never forget your first vodka tonic. More tonic water than vodka if you prefer.
All the world's a stage or something. Someone smart said that once, I think. [Shakespeare, he knows. But one must maintain appearances.] I have a feeling the genre to this story's going to be horror. Let's pray the queen with the decapitation fetish is in a good mood.
no subject
So do all of the adults here suggest teenagers get drunk, or is it just you?
Great, trapped in a horror story. Just like I always wanted. [ Sarcasm translates through text, right? ] If she's not, I'm letting you go first.
no subject
Only the not incredibly boring ones. This is Wonderland. Rules ceased to apply the moment your passport was stamped.
And get in the way of her making friends with more lost kids? Wouldn't dream of it.
[Have fun.]
no subject
I think I'll still pass. I'd rather be sober and aware if something goes horribly wrong.
You won't have much choice in the matter if I'm already gone. I'm sure I could outrun you.
[ She's in good shape, she'll leave you in the dust. ]
no subject
Here's hoping he won't have to move faster than a brisk walk while here because Margo and her gun aren't around to save his ass this time.]
Suit yourself.
There's a terrible pun waiting to happen but I'm gracious enough not to use it. So. How's that culture shock coming along?
no subject
It's going fine. I've already made friends with all of the flowers and pulled a whole closet out of another closet.
[ More sarcasm, naturally. The culture shock is still rocking her hard, but like she's going to admit that to him. Hah. ]
How's that quest to corrupt everyone under the age of 18 coming along?
no subject
Make a walk-in closet out of all those closets and I'll be impressed. Could get used to the McMansion with proper room for a wardrobe.
And nature will run its course, so. I'd say successful. I'll still take the credit if you're offering, though.
no subject
That seems excessive. Make your own walk-in closet if you really have that many clothes to deal with. Or, stop pulling so many clothes out of the closet in the first place.
[ She might be used to having a large closet at home and a decently sized wardrobe, but it's not like he has to know that. Nor is she actually going to try pulling closets out of closets. That's just stupid. ]
Credit rescinded. If you're letting nature do all the work, you hardly deserve it.
no subject
You clearly need my help. I'll be like your fairy godmentor; tell me your bad habit of choice and I'll work my magic.
[How long can he keep this up before the other person gets tired of him fucking around. Let's find out.]
no subject
[ Y-you totally didn't touch a nerve or anything!!! Don't be stupid... ]
You sound more like a fairy demonmentor. And I don't have any bad habits nor do I want to pick any up! I hope someone writes up a restraining order to make sure you stay at least a mile away from any children around here.
[ Well, she hasn't stopped texting yet, so she can't be that tired of his fucking around. Or more likely, she thinks he's actually being serious. ]

[Someone might not want a drink, but it seems like they're on their way to needing one.]
That doesn't have quite the same ring to it. Unclench, I was messing with you. You can get off the phone with the sex offender registry.
