Superboy/Kon-El | DC preboot
[Kon spends a lot of time up high. He can, after all, so why wouldn't he? Today, he can be found sitting on the roof, staring upwards. It's not long before he takes off, flying higher and higher and higher and....
eventually notices he really isn't getting higher. It's like flying on a treadmill. He stays up for a moment, looking around Wonderland from above, before slowly going back to land on the roof. Well, it was worth a try.]
Network/Action
There's a beach! [Kon's grinning, shirtless with sunglasses as stands in front of the water. The day is sunny and beautiful, and Kon hasn't lived by a beach since he lived in Hawaii.] Why the hell aren't people swimming all the time? This is great!
[He plants the phone on a chair, making sure it has a clear view of the ocean before taking a running start. He whoops as he jumps up... and up... and up... flying until he's high enough to get an epic cannonball going. He emerges, grinning, and shouts:]
SUDDEN CRAZY BEACH PARTY. GET DOWN HERE NOW!
Mirror
[Conner Luthor adjusts his tie as he walks through Wonderland. He doesn't disguise himself as his Real. His dad would never forgive him for wearing the S without really good reason, and anyway, that's not how the Luthors do things. He's not Superboy. And if he were a superhero, which he would never admit, he certainly wouldn't wear that symbol. He'd be way smarter about it.
His motivations for being on the Real side today are to gather information. For his Queen, of course, but also for himself. Information is power, almost as much as money is. And observing can only get you so much. Talking to people, winning them to your side... that's where you can really win. If there's anything his dad has taught him, it's that you can only punch so many problems away. Luckily, his dad has also taught him how to be good at solving those other problems. Even with money not being a factor, he's pretty sure he can do well here.]
Mirror
It's Kon.
Sure, he's not dressed in the costume, and he looks a bit older, but Tim has been collecting superhero secret IDs since he was nine, and it would be pretty embarrassing if he didn't recognize his own best friend, no matter how he's dressed.]
Uh. Kon?

Conner. But nice try, Tim. [His brother, though not this one. Still, a useful connection, provided he can get Tim's trust. That could mean pretending to be his Real, but any Tim's going to be too smart to fall for that, and despite his Luthor DNA, Conner isn't the best liar.]
Kon would be... my Real, correct?

Can I ask how that even works?

Your dad.
[Clark finally decided to step up? And what the hell does that have to do with him?]

Conner, I live with my father [sort of, aside from the boarding school thing], in Gotham. There is nothing about your story that is not completely insane.
no subject
Your father... your birth father, anyway, died. I'm sorry.

...How?
[Because of course he can't help poking at that wound.]

Roof
And it never hurts, making the acquaintance of people with powers you may need later, except when it does and then knowing the powers of the people who may want to engage in a little Loki-beating is always handy. He stays on his own side, raising his voice.]
Did you find what you were looking for, up there?

[He's always found a way out of the afterlife, at least, whether it's got one L or two. He offers a nod back, and settles on the edge of the roof. Powers, physique, and relative honesty without trying to bargain for the information; all signs point to hero, so far. No point not trying to see what he can learn, then.]
At least I can cross "up" off the list without having to try it myself. I presume you've tried "away", as well?
no subject
[He shoves his hands into his jean pockets and shrugs.]
Only direction I haven't tried is tunneling.

[Swimming was never really an option, given that Loki sinks like a stone; not surprising when he weighs about three normal people. The woods he might have tried, though, so it's nice to not accidentally wind up dead. He's not sure how that would work here, if he'd come back at all.]
I've tried a few others, but not down yet. It sounds like a lot of work, but... I suppose if all other options are out...

[And boy, does that hurt his pride.]
It might be time for phase two. Tell me, how are you at research?

[He shrugs again, a little more tense. He doesn't trust this place at all, even if it's been calm so far.]
