Prompt A: Serious Event

A memory is displayed. It's yours, the most traumatic of your life whether it was a terrifying clown encounter or the death of someone you love. It's on a loop for everyone to see. You can enter the memory and take your own place, but no matter how hard you try, you cannot alter the outcome. You're forced to try in vain to change what happened or watch until you decide it's too much and walk away. If you can.

Prompt B: Lighter Event

Welcome to Storybrooke.

You've lived in a quiet town in Maine for as long as you can remember. You are a fishmonger or a diner employee, perhaps you work at the hospital. Whatever you do and whoever you are, it's not the real you. You are cursed and you know no other life outside of Storybrooke.

When the curse breaks (either from True Love's Kiss or, in a more TDM friendly, handwaved way), you have two sets of memories: who you were, and who you are. Do you choose to accept all that you were cursed to believe, or would you rather slip back into your old life? The choice is yours.

Prompt C: ediS rorriM

Use this prompt to test out your mirrors. Are they loyal to the new White Queen or do they think she's too good to be true? Do they long to cross over or spend their days tormenting reals? Whatever the scenario, know that the Queen is watching, and let that guide you - or not.

Prompt D: Choices

Any scenario goes! Thread out your character's arrival, have them act like a long-established resident, let our past events inspire your scene, or write up literally any Wonderland-based scenario you feel like playing with.

"It happens more often than you think," she says, warming to the topic. McKayla and I totally do a vlog about the way killers operate in the United States. Well, we started one after it became clear there was one operating in our town."

She nods, sighing softly. "A few of us made it, though apparently he found one of our teachers outside first. She was really sweet," she says, folding her arms over her chest to hug herself. "She had done some things to help me too. With scholarships and stuff. And they say that's what happened with Jordan, though I guess, I mean, how can we ever really know the details?"

Hey, some parts of her story are totally true, especially about a serial killer already being in their town. Well, three of them technically.

"... really? Because I think it happens pretty rarely. In fact happening at all is really more than I thought it did."

Todd can't explain what's ringing wrong for him. Maybe that's what she was told, or how she remembers things, but there's that niggle that says something isn't right.

He doesn't push it. "Sounds like you had a hell of a time."

[tragedygirls]

"You should look into it. There are a lot of serial killers in operation at any given time. You just only hear about the ones that get solved most of the time. Like Ted Bundy. It makes good news if they catch them. Not so much if they're still operating thirty years later," she points out, and beyond her own work, truly believing it.

"It was... It was harder than you would think it would be. Knowing that those singular decisions changed so much. One of the girls that chose to stay home than go dateless was talking about how it was the one time being without a guy was worth it."

"Oh, I know about serial killers. I meant the locking whole school in the prom and burning it down thing. Amanda was obsessed with serial killers for a while, the psychology that motivates them and stuff. Until she got sick, she wanted to train in forensic psychology." For a while, anyway.

Todd had never really been as much into true crime and that. And now, his brain didn't need the fodder, frankly.

"Like the decision to go outside to make things up with your best friend."

[tragedygirls]

"See, I think Amanda would be cool to know. You're lucky to have someone like that in your life." And she means that. She doesn't always run into others that are into the things she is.

"You go to school dances? You can't hear anything over all that music and all. And everyone is all come dance and we should get punch and everyone should go to the bathroom... It was easier to hear one another out by the parking lot. Prettier by the bleachers but you know what kids do there."

He doesn't have her in his life. Not since he told her the truth. But it had been worth the price he paid for it.

"Yeah, no, I mean, like you were saying, those little decisions that change everything. You and she went out to talk, the other girl stayed home rather than go stag... the little choices that saved your lives. Changed them."

Picking up a little dog and taking her back to her owner.

She nods. "It's something we've been talking to others about. Trying to share with others that you can't live your life on that," she says. "I think sometimes I really try and overthink it. Like what decision ended up with me here."

Because she really wishes she knew on that one.

"Here being this place, Wonderland thing?"

Todd's fairly sure the decision he made that ended up here was picking up that dog. Or maybe not throwing Dirk out with more conviction.

[tragedygirls]

"Yeah, that. I was traveling across country with McKayla. I just went down to the hall to get ice and when I came back into the room? I was walking into the foyer of the mansion," she says, shrugging.

[great_assisting]

"Left my apartment," Todd offers. "I was about to head to the office."

[tragedygirls]

"Just like from one step to the other?" Because that she gets. "So many seem to have huge stories, and mine is just eh, one day."

[great_assisting]

"Yeah, basically. I walked through the door and... here." He shrugs. "Honestly, it didn't even surprise me that much, nothing weird had happened in a while."

[tragedygirls]

"SO you just expect everything bad to happen to you? Just regularly?" That is interesting to her. Mostly in that she is usually causing it.

[great_assisting]

"Not bad. Weird. And yeah, fairly regularly since I met Dirk. Actually, no, before I met Dirk, but only by twelve hours. I did mention we met because he climbed in through my window, right?"

[tragedygirls]

"And that was okay with you? Him just climbing through a window?" She glances at him as she pushes open the door of the diner. "Did you shoot him?"

[great_assisting]

"No, it wasn't. I panicked and threw a shoe at him. Why would I shoot him? Why would I have a gun? I live in Seattle."

[tragedygirls]

"Because if a stranger comes through your window, you should protect yourself? And I don't know. You strike me as the type to have a gun."

[great_assisting]

"... no? I've never owned a gun. I know how to use one, but I've never owned one. And honestly, he wasn't that threatening. I mean, you've seen Dirk."

[tragedygirls]

She cants her head, considering that. "Wait, I have? Dude, he's here? Which weird guy is he then?" Because the place is full of them.

[great_assisting]

"No, back in my memory. Farah and Dirk. Dirk in the bright yellow jacket and band shirt." A band shirt of his band, which Todd had given him.

[tragedygirls]

"Oh. Duh. Right.But I mean, in that memory how can I tell if he's bad ass or not. Though that face popped in my window and I might totally throw things at him," she admits.

[great_assisting]

"He's not bad ass. He's a uncoordinated dork who blunders through life and the universe with no idea of what's going on. He's about as threatening as wet celery."

[tragedygirls]

"And yet he completely and utterly changed your life, right?" She moves to settle in at a table.

[great_assisting]

"Yes. Me. My life. All of it. He makes me a better person." Makes him want to be a better person. He sits down opposite her, slouching into the chair.

[tragedygirls]

"Then he's the best threat of all. The one that gets us back to who we truly are," she pointed out. "McKayla did it for me when I let myself believe I wasn't truly me."
